I've seen a couple pics where Banes hands actually look like they are closed around the vest. How are people doing that? Heating and reshaping the hands in the pics above?

Here's the original arm swap mod. Unfortunate the pictures don't work.

I could only find one advance arm but it'll still work to show how it's done.

Open the torso from the side. Easily peels off but still handle with care. You don't wanna rip the body.

Pull the torso muscle off. Comes off like a shell.

Unscrew the back of the body. You'll need a phillips screwdriver. There's three screws that need to be removed.

Should look like this with the back piece removed. Remove the arms.

Here's where the real modding begins. As you can see, the advanced arms have a bigger round peg. That peg needs to be either sanded or cut to the size of the muscle arms to fit back into the muscle body's inner socket.

Once you get them in place, just close it back up. They're a little tricky and might fall out. It's simple to get it shut again though.

Put the torso muscle back on and glue it shut. Don't add too much glue. Just in case you wanna undo the whole mod. :exactly:

Here's the finished body with the arms.

Hope this helps. :wave

Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure

I started taking pics but got frustrated and then didn't care about pics. Shortrounds is way better but here's my half *** tutorial.

Peel this off by heating and carefully ripping the seam.

Looks like this when done. There's glue in the 'boxes' on the chest and back. Be careful.

Unscrew the back and you'll have this. Then remove the arms.

Match the arm pegs and you're good. Top is the double jointed arms, bottom is the Bane arms.

Then you'll be able to do this.

Maglor here is the exact tutorial I used.

I think it was cr0w who mentioned in a post that he used the Avengers Thor's gripping fists for the job and those where the ones that I purchased and used to achieve that look you are talking about Maglor.

Thats the pose i had in mind when i finally get my hands on this piece, should be here tomorrow :yess:

Yeah, stuffed with foam. Same with the trousers. Around the thigh area.

Nice work on the traps. I had planned to do that as well.

I also stuffed the pants, but I only did the knee area. I always hated the way the pants clung to the back of his knees making his legs look so skinny when viewed from the side.

How do you stuff the traps? I've been wanting to do this. Can anyone help?

Also what glue do I use to put it back together?

just received my Bane and Catwoman on the same day yesterday, absolutely gorgeous! You have to have your hands on the figure to truly notice the beauty; pictures do not do justice for him.

Yeah they are. Futzed very well to make them look infinitely better

One thing that annoys me about the pants apart from the obvious is the zip on the outside of each leg near the shoes. I've pulled the trouser legs up a bit so he didn't look like his legs were beanpoles but the zip shapes them awkward.

There's no natural crease or folds

Vo, Are those the stock pants and boots?
