I refused to watch the Halloween remake, so I must confess I had no idea it was well thought of. It just seemed like too sacred to remake. Much like Omen, I felt zero need to see the remake as the original was just perfect.

i believe the texas chainsaw massacre one was needed, becuase after part 2 of the original series the storyline was everywhere. friday the 13th was just fun to see a new take on it and to see non zombie jason again.

I dont consider it a true remake, but of the newer remakes, Halloween was ok, Hills Have Eyes and Texas Chainsaw were lame, almost exact replicas of the originals.
