Since IV re-did Liberty and V re-did San Andreas it prbably will be Vice City.

I'd be happy with that, however i'd love a European City for a change.

Or perhas they can have 2 or more character in two different cities or continents

I would like to play GTA VI in Los Venturas(Las vegas).
Would be cool with mini games like poker, slot maschines etc.
and ganster casino missions :D

To be honest, I'd like a snow covered city. Quebec City comes to mind. I've been dying for an open world game like GTA in a winter setting, with Christmas decorations in the streets. And of course London. Would love to take over London Underground.

Quebec City/Montreal would be pretty awesome. As for an American city, I'd love to see Boston.

Isn't GTA supposed to be a parody of the U.S.? I can't see them leaving the country, but at the same time, the material has to be running thin. I doubt we'll see another game for a long time. Another western game should be on its way though

London hasn't been redone yet, but I enjoyed GTA London back in the day. Maybe Washington D.C. or Houston even.

They've done London before, just not in 3D.

I see GTA more as a parody of gangster/criminal culture than of the US, specifically. Maybe it just morphed into that in recent years, but why not make fun of Brits, too? I would love to see the Housers' (natural born Brits) satirical take on their birth country. Besides, London has a rich popular culture surrounding its own gangster element that would be a breath of fresh air compared to yet another retread of an American city. I mean, a large part, if not most, of GTA's target demographic and buying audience is American, no? Don't you think Americans get tired of seeing American cities? Give me something different.

Guy Ritchie's London-based gangster films have done well in the US, there's no reason why a GTA in London wouldn't be successful. What are the reasons that it wouldn't be? I've already addressed the whole "GTA is about America" argument above, so that leaves "London doesn't have any guns," or "London is a boring city."

One must also keep in mind that New York and LA are not nearly as crime infested today as they once were. GTA has to take liberties and create an 'alternate universe' version of these cities, because, face it, the real life version of these cities would be no less boring than London. In fact, with the riots and unrest London has seen over the past decade or two, I would say it's anything but boring. How often do you see rioting and burning vehicles in a major US city nowadays?

The same argument goes for guns. Take liberties and pump up the number of guns on London streets (I hear the incidence of illegal firearms is actually quite high), or make guns rare and valuable, thus increasing the dramatic impact of guns in the game, not to mention giving Rockstar good reason to give the melee and stealth systems a much needed boost. Also, I'm not sure how long guns have been illegal in London, but who says it has to be modern day? It could be set in the swinging 60's and 70's - I hear London was a much livelier place back then.

GTA doesn't have to be anywhere in particular. GTA mines popular culture for content that is rich and ripe for parody. London contributes just as much to the popular culture biosphere as any city that GTA has done so far. Basically, it's the only modern, industrialized, Western city with vast amounts of popular culture and criminal culture that Rockstar hasn't converted to 3D yet (I'm leaving Chicago out because it's not different enough from Liberty City to warrant its own game). London has a very unique culture compared to anything Rockstar has done so far. It would stand out and present something different without having to retread all of the same cities again.

Whilst obviously illegal I wouldn't say guns were rare here , especially among the gangster types. It's not like all the pedestrians in GTA have guns so it wouldn't make any difference at all. I don't understand the argument of the police being useless also without guns , if you fire a gun here armed response are on you within minutes. It wouldn't be an issue for the game.

I'd like to see London or somewhere in Japan with Yakuza but I suppose we have sleeping dogs now for an Asian style GTA.

So Moscow it is.

I don't think they'll set it somewhere where English is not the primary language.

Although, I would love to see Rockstar do a period take on the Samurai, subtitles and all (not as a GTA game, but a separate IP, a la RDR).
