Was better in My Left Foot, IMO.

Incredible performance again, I think it is fair to say that DDL is one of the greatest if not the greatest actor on the planet. The votes he has gained already speaks volumes!!!

Good lord, teddy. Greatest on the planet? DiCaprio's better imo. If we're talking about "present day" acting that is. DDL IS good though, no doubt.

First thing that popped into mind was Ledger in TDK. Not sure I agree with it, but just throwing it out there.

Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector pops into mind too.

Tough question, good thread.

Also look out for Jeremy Renner this guys instantly becoming one of my present day favorites. If not already.

Yeah he was pretty awesome in The Town. Other than that he hasn't had much to really work with. I'm looking forward to see what he gets in the future. Someone mentioned in one of the threads here that he was rumored for Hawkeye in the Avengers movie. I haven't kept up with that thread so I don't know how substantial that claim still is, but he'd rock in that role.

Daniel Day Lewis - There Will Be Blood

hmmm had a feeling you were gonna go with that. Lol.

Very tough one.

Pacino in Godfather II and The Scene of a Woman
Ledger in TDK
Crowe in A Beautiful Mind
Brando in Apocalypse Now
Depp as Jack Sparrow, all movies (Most probably think he's been better in other movies, but I can't help but go with this performance)

That's easy. Tori Black in Tori Black is Pretty Flithy 2. She definitely transends the constructs usually imposed on modern actresses.

Brandon Lee in The Crow. Probably because the impact his death had on it and seeing his interview about life and death on the DVD. Just a very unexpected performance and the only major one he had a chance to play. He would have gone on to great things IMO.

Yeah imdb has him listed as Hawkeye in The Avengers so it looks legit.

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0719637/

He'll start getting more lead roles imo.

Jack Nicholson in Shining and Cuckoo's Nest.
Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands
Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs
Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino
Marlon Brando in Godfather
Stallone in First Blood
Kevin Spacey in Seven
Tim Robbins in Shawshank Redemption
Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange
Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet
Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner

That i can think of right now...
