That's weird. It is a variant of the actual first issue artwork he did, possibly more recently? I had a poster of the original in my room as a kid. I also had a giant, door sized Jim Lee X-Men poster, but he couldn't touch Art Adams in my mind.

My favorite Adams cover (and one of my very favorite comics as a kid) is X-Men Annual #10:

An awesome idea for a thread. Been following since it started up but didn't get round to contributing anything. Some great covers in there though. Can't seem to post pictures just yet but a couple of my favs are batman 465, amazing spiderman 300, superman brainiac and maybe some less popular choices are the variant to the new 52 batman 1 (I think it was by jim lee), and Todd mcfarlane's spider-man 1. I remember seeing that as a kid and just fell in love with the image. Bought the issue and the poster right then and there in the shop.

In hindsight this seems like a worthless post without pics. Haha.
