Randy has said they’d like to, no official plans yet. The new Godzilla figures will look different though, at the very least his spines change design and size in the new movie.

Thanks, Maulfan. Good point re:differences too.

Thoughts?

Saw this up for preorder on Anime-Export, it's a Bandai Web Exclusive. Maybe I'm all mixed up but I didn't think the Deforeals were Bandai related at all. I thought they were X-Pluls and all the exclusives go through Ric Boy? Is this something new?

Not sure what the story is with this particular piece, but if I remember correctly, X-Plus has produced stuff for Bandai in the past. I'm pretty sure they did all of the Bandai Museum pieces.

Does anyone know when the Neca KOTM figures will be shown/released? I tried reading through some Neca tweets and other info but couldn't find anything

https://awesomecollector.com/collections/fall-sale

Awesome Collector is having a fall sale. I only have one X-Plus Godzilla in the 12" series. How much smaller is the 10" series? I was thinking of getting an Anguirus; the 10" is $80 and the 12" is $120. If it wasn't too bad I'd just pick up the cheaper one, they look identical otherwise.

Ugh, I just went 4 figures deep into the 12" line thanks to this post. That's from having only 1 X-Plus before. Thanks a lot. ;) (seriously tho, thanks for the heads up!)

Regarding sizes, I found this site which has a lot of good info and reviews on Xplus: https://www.kaijuaddicts.com/x-plus-vinyl-resources/guide-to-collecting-x-plus-vinyls/
Its reviews cover height and do extensive comparisons.

Question: Can anyone explain why the Shin Godzilla 30cm figures start at $325 new while the Godzilla 1999 30cm figures are literally HALF the cost or less? I don't mean just at awesomecollector, but in general. I don't understand the price difference. Same manufacturer, same license, same size, same complexity, but one is double the price.

The G99 figures were rereleased by Diamond here in the US (along with a bunch of others) which cut the cost down drastically as it was a domestic release cutting out all the import costs. The Shin on the other hand was only released in Japan plus it was a Sakai sculpt which always raises the retail cost.

Ah, that makes sense. Do you think Diamond will ever release Shin stateside? Hopefully the Ric version if so!

Anything's possible. Diamond unfortunately just cancelled a bunch of pending X-Plus releases in the smaller scale 25cm line dues to rights issues so it's anyone's guess on if they'll sort things out and release Shin. They are usually a few years behind so it would be closer to 2020 and probably not the Ric as they've not done Rics in the past.

While most of the X-Plus figures that Diamond has carried are not the RIC versions, there actually have been a couple. They have not carried any of the one's that light up. The Gigantic GMK Godzilla and the roaring version of 2014(both with blue spines) were both originally released as RIC Exclusives. As far as Shin is concerned, I'm hopeful that Diamond may distribute some reissues, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I believe Monster X is in the 30cm scale. As much as I do not like Zilla, I'm afraid that I will have to get that Deforeal.
It actually looks pretty good. I will definitely be getting the FSL 64 and the Gigantic 89.
