Im still waiting for the perfect '89 figure myself. But I dont know if I see them going with two hesei versions in a row. Showa probably next. And '54 will sell

Gmk is very neat. If you are a fan of the pose and the design of that year he's a must. Surprised they havent announced the next one in the lineup.

They probably haven't announced anything because there aren't a lot of models out there that big. They used existing models from Kaibutsuya for the first two. I posted a picture of a gorgeous 89 from Gow Row when the 95 was announced, but who knows if X-Plus would deal with them.

Yeah they'll likely have to go to other manufacturers for existing molds. But you know with the way they've been selling it's got to be on their minds.

Alright now I have a real dilemma. I went to USPS with the crushed box and was told that because it's international, I need to initiate the insurance claim online or over the phone, then I will be instructed to take the product to a claims specialist and have to leave it for inspection.

Now... I already repaired King G. So if I put him back in the crushed box and bring him, they will say everything is fine. So do I "Rebreak" him? Wouldn't be hard and I'm sure the super glue would break with a firm tug where it was placed. But I worry about being able to reglue him again afterwards, since the bond won't be glue holding vinyl/plastic together, it will be glue trying to bond to glue. Something feels wrong about doing this. But, if I do and USPS processes the claim favorably, which I think they would, the box was absolutely demolished, I would keep the item and get my money back for it.

Or, do I just tell amiami usps said no dice and ask them to do something on their end, filing a claim in japan or offering me some compensation back.

Or just forget about it, live with a crushed box and be glad I was able to fix it.

Wow that would be pretty painful to rebreak the model. Did you communicate that you already repaired the model, and that you have pictures of it being broken on its initial arrival? Would that suffice?

The other two options seem reasonable and less of a hassle. personally, I'd just go with one of those, and forget about ordering from ami again. But with the first, you may be able to come up with the best outcome.

Yup. That's the dilemma. They want to inspect it in person so pictures probably wouldn't suffice. I may try that though. Couldn't hurt if I don't want to rebreak it.

Hello. Today was package day so I'm happy to share some bad quality pictures. I mean, everyone enjoys seeing Burning G's right! :lol
I initially bought this resin kit pre-built but it was pretty banged up. I had to strip much of the paint and break it down into its parts. So I asked a friend if he'd be willing to work on this project, who I believe a few people on this forum already know. I chose a custom/stylized color scheme because I personally never felt the patches of red/orange translated too well on the models themselves =X though onscreen it looks great!

After all is said and done, the cost of the fellow came out to be less than some of the Xplus gigantic series. Overall it turned out great, especially compared to what it looked when I bought it. So I am very content. :)
Also wanted to share my first and most likely last Xplus model

I live in Japan and I visited a friend last week. The centerpiece of his living room was this gorgeous GIANT Godzilla toy. I'm not really up on my Godzilla stuff, but I'm fairly sure it's "Burning Godzilla" from the 1995 movie?

It's HUGE...and heavy. Felt like one solid piece. He said it was about $450!!! He bought it last summer I think? I'm not a Godzilla fan but I can appreciate an amazing toy/statue when I see one...the detail was incredible. I found myself staring at the toy instead of the TV....it just drew all my attention.

Anyone have this one?

Yep, that's the one. Like I said, I'm not even a fan of the big G but DAMN that is a gorgeous piece isn't it??

Everyone and their mothers have the GBG.. or at least those in this forum :lol
It definitely has a presence though. Enjoy seeing everyone's pictures. Kinda doesn't seem to fit any shelves from the pics I've seen. I don't think I'll ever own one myself, but I am looking forward to a different burning G that should be coming in the mail soon.

This was one of the best purchases I have made in a long time... Funny thing is I almost did not get it... I was not sold on the original resin sculpt it was based on... But pics and vids of this piece looked great and someone posted here that it was available on AmiAmi and Jye was getting one and I was not about to let him have one and not me;) ... But Hell I still almost canceled a few times from AmiAmi...

I just was not sure I wanted to spend almost 500.00 on this... But I did... When he got here and I opened him I could not stop smiling... Many times I will watch enough videos or look at enough pics of a piece I am getting that when it finally shows up it's a little bit of a let down because I have looked at it so much... Not so with the King of the Monsters.. I just love it...

I had already had in my possession the x-plus 64 Godzilla and was content to stop there.. But getting this piece opened up the floodgates and now I can't stop... Though it looks like I will have to as it sounds like Diamond toys are done reissuing these... Which sucks because I was hoping to get some of my fav side characters.

But even if I had no others this GBG would cover all my Godzilla needs... It's not my fav G suit... That goes to 64... But it's my fav suit of the 90's and the presence it has makes this the ultimate Godzilla for my collection.

Very nice... I like the work your friend did.. Especially with the finger and toe nails and teeth... Excellent piece to go with you X-plus 89

By the way.. Someone here said that getting X-plus Godzilla's can become addicting...

That's no Joke.. My original intention was just to get the 64 Godzilla to go along with my already owned GMK large monster series Godzilla... Then I thought about saving up for the Original Japan release 62... (before I knew about the reissue) then came GBG... then the G 64 and G 68 reissues came and I got those... Figured I was done.. Even sold my GMK because it was smaller then the others.. Then the reissue of 89 came about and I got that one... Then I decided "what the hell" and got the Godzilla 2003 with my Christmas Amazon gift card. I am not even nuts about the film but I love the sculpt and though not my fav suit it is my fav of the millennium series.. Have G 54 on the way also :)

Now I have to get my hands on a 30cm GMK Godzilla but I missed out :( so I have to hope for a good price on ebay...

My last x-plus Godzilla will be the G 2014 when that is released in Japan..

Addicting is right.

I'm trying so hard not to do what you're doing. I still need to get 68 G to go with my Hedorahs....but I also want to get 89 and 03...trying to hold off. But the price for 03 on Amazon is super tempting... 2014 is absolute. Im getting him for sure.

Its a scary hobby. I started off just wanting two showa iconic Godzillas to display ('54 and '64). Never thought I'd spend more than $300 on a figure. Now I'm 25cm '75 ric and '66 ric with ebirah, as well as 30cm '54, '62, '64, '89, and 2003. Plus a Gigantic BG. Easily $1500 worth of x-plus just chilling on my shelves and Ive only collected them in 2014. [emoji30]
