Well I missed it in '82 in 3D and I'm gonna miss it again, damn! For all you lucky Californian Friday the 13th fans, part 3 will be shown in 3D for a couple of screenings. You can read about it here.

If anyone on here goes, please report back on how it was. :monkey2

That would be awesome... has it ever been released on DVD in 3d? I know some of the recent 3D films have been.

Nope, hasn't been on DVD in 3D.

It's been shown here in Milwaukee a few times, and I highly recommend seeing it.

Midnight shows are especially great for this film.

Does anyone remember the 3-D movies of the early '80s. I can remember...

1. Friday the 13th III
2. Jaws 3-D

What else? There's gotta be more????

Any Nightmare on Elm St.?

About the last 20 minutes or so of Freddys Dead were is 3-D, but not the whole film.

That is the only 3-d movie(or part of a movie) I have ever got to see in a theater.

I wish they would release more 3-D movies.

Isn't the CGI Beowulf going to be in 3D, at least for IMAX?

I think IMAX films are the only ones really doing 3D anymore... but it sure is cool to watch. Part of Superman and the last Potter flick were 3D.

Glad I searched before I started its own thread, otherwise I would have posted a "How cheezy is Friday the 13th - Part 3(D)". I just bought the Friday the 13th boxed set, From Crystal Lake to Manhattan" and am on #3 now, not watching in 3-D. Oh my goodness, this is so terribly 80's cheeze. The intro credits are in MS WordArt (and 70/80's cheezy porno movie music to add to the effect). It's like Westside story meets Meatballs. Where the frick is Jason in this movie? you only get to see some vague form of Jason. Is it just me? Oh my god, when Jason kills the black biker dude, it looks like the fight is choreographed. Complete iwth the cheesy and creepy old camp counselor (wearing a baby blue sweater) just looking for tail. Awesome. This movie is a classic just to laugh at.

I'm not at all disrespecting this or the other ones in the series, some of them were scary, but 3D is downright funny.

I'd still go see it, but probably want to know what you're walking into. Being drunk or otherwise would probably help to not take it to seriously.

I guess I didn't realize each new movie had a different director.

SINNER! HERETIC!

Part 3 is the greatest Friday as a whole, the 3d 'effects' just add to it's magnificence.

May Roy strike your head from your shoulders...

ROY! ROY! ROY!!!!!!

Not to sound like a dick or anything. But you have no idea of the BRILLIANCE of what Friday The 13th Part 3, is all about. Its by far the best film of the series............I can go on and on. I can watch this film everyday and NEVER get sick of it. :D

Nightmare 6...

Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare.

Only the last 10 minutes or so was in 3D - and it's pretty weak. What is cool though is the DVD comes with the glasses.
