I'm curious, what film has Freddy Krueger ever wore a red and black sweater? I've never ever seen him in red and black....and if anyone says they have, they need to change the color settings on their TV.

Its not based on any one in particular. At least not what we can see so far. Its an essence of the character type of PF, not a screen cap PF.

No but it represents the mask style in 3 and 4 most.

The pose with the doll reminds me of the old convention exclusive Freddy figure put out by Neca several years ago, which I believe was the first Freddy figure to come with a human Robert Englund/Freddy head sculpt. Makes me wonder if we might get a switch out Englund head ex for this. That's what I'm hoping for anyway...

Oh, and I'd love a New Nightmare Freddy. Even if it was just part of the horror maquette line.

Hmm You know in the first film you never really got a great look at Krueger (one of the reasons why it's still the best film), but looking at this promo and behind the scenes shots, it really does look, well, black and red. Nancy says he wore a red and green sweater in her dreams but this looks like a very, veeeery dark greeny brown. More dark than I've ever noticed really.

The burn detail most resembles his make-up from Dream Warriors and Dream Master...which were almost identical molds except he was given a more pronounced chin and hook (witch's) nose for Dream Master.

I really dont like the pose because it will be difficult to display him straight on due to the extended arm and head to the side. The doll screams FVJ to me and IF the EX comes with a human Robert head then its 100% FVJ. Im done with FVJ and would of really liked a Part 2/4/5 look. Very mixed feelings on this right now so I guess I will have to wait and see when the PO goes up.
