****, that reminds me--I went to Vegas and forgot to do the damn Secret Santa announcement.

Nope. Not possible. Better off selling it overseas to some Russian hacker who will then steal that person's identity.

Zod does the match making and lets us know after the sign up period who we have. The way he does it I'm pretty sure it's random pairings.

Well, as random as he can be, except that he'll know who has him! Not much he can do about that...



Anybody in here familiar with the old Marx Brothers movie, Room Service? I was just cast in the play. The movie followed the play's script pretty closely. Basically, I'm Groucho's brother in-law whom he takes advantage of. This is the 3rd straight holiday season that I've been cast in a play. It's a really funny show. Was a good movie, too. A very young Lucille Ball was in it, before she was famous...

I would be interested in secret santa I do have a few questions about it though. Do we get randomized with a person or do we pick a person from the group to be secret santa i'm guessing it's more of a random thing.

Like mrdbios said, I randomly pair everyone up. A lot of the same people join in every year though, so I may have to try to change it up a bit so people don't get repeats from previous years.

I left Vegas with more money than I brought, but it was like pulling teeth trying to get anything to pay out. I had a pretty good time, but I got some sort of food poisoning while I was there so that knocked me out for almost a full day. Being sick probably saved me money though since I wasn't giving anything back to the casino.

Freaktacular Secret Santa 2017​

I can't believe this is the 4th year we've done this

I don’t want this to be stressful for anyone—there’s already a lot going on for people this time of year—but there need to be some ground rules.

If you say you’re going to participate THEN PARTICIPATE. We haven't had a problem so far so let's not start now.

Gift value of around $20. If you want to surprise someone with more then that’s your prerogative—I’m sure the lucky person won't complain.

Send your gift so it will be received before Christmas, and we can all post what we got starting Christmas day.

Send me a PM with:

1. Your name and shipping address.

2. State whether or not you will send a gift internationally (one way to avoid international shipping costs may be to buy something directly from that country’s Amazon website and have it ship from there).

3. Include a license/character of interest to give your Secret Santa an idea for gifts--this doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed anything related to it but for those that want the information they’ll have it.

4. Shirt size.

5. Preferred gaming system.

6. If you prefer DVD, Blu Ray, or digital movie codes.

When I get a PM, I’ll add your name to the list and keep it updated in the Freaktacular thread.


Let me know you want to participate by Friday, 12/1/2017. You’ll get paired up and information sent to you over the weekend. Gifts will probably need to be sent by around 12/18/2017 at the latest to make sure they get there by Christmas.

Thanks! Congrats on leaving Vegas a winner. Even if it's only $1 more than you came with, that's a huge victory! Sorry to hear you got sick though...
The last time I was there I had serious insomnia. I was going crazy. So I'd leave my room, go downstairs and play the fun Star Wars slot machine. It was like the most expensive video game ever created. They're all gone now, since Disney won't promote gambling. Anyway, I kept winning! Then I'd go back to my room, try to sleep, fail miserably, go back down to play more Star Wars, win more money, go back to my room, try to sleep, give up again, go back to play more Star Wars, win more money, then eventually it was breakfast time. I was a total mess that day, but at least I won lots of money!

I will be doing Secret Santa again. Just need to compose my email. I'll work on it this weekend...
