Posted this on a few forums now,so giving you a heads up, there is a bloody good chance if this site has your card details you are going to be scammed, myself and a few other collectors have had money taken on their cards and this site is looking the likely culprits, do a search on the web, there are lots of people reporting it, dont know if the mods want to move this to a place where everyone will see it, feel free.

I have recently had to have my CC replaced as someone tried and failed on 2 occasions to transfer money with my card details. I am not sure if it was them as I have never found out but I have also used this company to buy things on the net. It may be a coincidence but I am not sure. I have also bought things from their stores in Glasgow and Edinburgh with cash not CC.

.com and .co.uk are 2 totally different companies, I know its very confusing, but it seems to be the .co.uk that has been hacked.

Same thing happened for me, someone tried to transfer money onto my card as well and use it.........sounds like they might have a a big issue...

brettb, ouch!

Before the new year I had been thinking of cancelling my orders with .com and buying it from .co.uk as it was a bit cheaper.

Glad I did not now.

As I only have one remaining order with .com, the Tumbler. I bought the DCD Joker from .com last September, and everything seems to have been fine. Got the Pod about a month back. Something just doesn't quite look professional with .co.uk. The .com looks more legit and professionally laid out, plus they tell you if it's in stock or not next to the product.

With .co.uk you have to contact them to find out if they have any or not.

It's like one of those things you somewhat know but can't describe.

When you look at their store locator, https://forbiddenplanet.com/WhereWeAre.html FAQ, Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the page, yadda yadda.

That seems to be the only info they have. https://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/index.php?main_page=contact_us

Very little at the bottom for them.

Got to agree with you mate !!! it seems that .com is more legit that the co.uk ...+ i scored my Iron Man Life Size Bust from them in for a great price , and with no paint flaws at all ,, ( i was very lucky ) !!! :banana

Are these scams confirmed to be due to hacking or could it be a disgruntled employee selling off peoples card details?

Their store is on YouTube. fp.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vrwt_qXdaZ8

Either is just as bad. The damage has been done.

Not keeping up to date with security. And a good way to damage their reputation, if they still have any.

From what I've read here .co.uk wasn't good at delivering pre-orders?...

Somebody tried to change the details on my card last week, but I have checked .co.uk's site and they don't store my card details. Must have been from somewhere else?

It most probably is the .co.uk site as I had a couple of preorders with them. I got a call from my bank today to tell me my card details were used by someone else this morning. Lucky that they new it wasn't me and declined it straight away. Now waiting for my new card so I can re-order John Connor and Cop Joker. I'll use Onesixthbruce this time I think.

Got hit a matter of an hour after placing an order with .co.uk on Tuesday. Likewise thankfully VISA recognised the scam straight away. I am immensely relieved both for that and the fact that I can pinpoint where the leak happened with good confidence. Thanks to forum member chris rankin for directing me here.

Damn!

I've just replaced my card because someone else was using it - First thing I did? Contacted all the companies I had pre-orders with to update details, guess who I called first.

I might just have given my new details back to the SOB who ripped me off originally.

Guess I'll be contacting my CC company tomorrow morning...

Surely they still can't be getting hacked? and what is going on with them...

Thats what I was afraid of doing. I'm glad to have found this thread before I did just that because I had been almost assuming my leak arose from spyware or some other porn-incurred virus on my computer!

Maybe it is an employee problem. Has anyone actually reported the site or emailed forbidden planet to say that they have a problem? If fresh breaches are occurring over the course of a few days I wonder are they even aware of whats going on.

I ordered an item once and it turned out it was never in stock so they never charged me I don't think. Wonder if theres still a risk.
I'll have to keep a look out.
All other times I've used .com .
