Favorite scene: Luke on the ground taking Sith lightning while Vader looks from his son to the Emperor - - back to his son -- then lunges at the emperor, pick him up, and tosses him like a sack of rice over the edge.

I remember seeing that scene in 1983 and the crowd went absolutely nuts and I have never felt a crowd respond like that before then or since.

ESB's lightsaber fight would have to be #1, followed closely by Duel of the Fates and rounded out with ROTS's end fight.

Simple. When you see Luke look over at R2 and nod, the lightsaber suddenly appears out of the dome and he jumps, flips and grabs the lightsaber igniting the first Green lightsaber we'd see back then. Still runs through my mind whenever someone brings up Star Wars.

Easy...

The opening scene with the Blockade Runner fleeing the Star Destroyer... pure Genius.

I remember it vividly still, I was only 6 years old and running around the theater like a hellion, caring less about the movie that was about to come on. Then suddenly, when that giant ship appeared, and kept coming for what seemed like an eternity to my young mind, I was mesmerized. I don't know how I got back to my seat, maybe my parents came and got me, but my eyes never left the screen from that moment on, and a fan was born.

I was 7 when I saw that in the theater... thats what got me too.

OT: After Luke knocks Vader down the steps, it cuts to him at the top of the steps. At that point, as a kid, I was like, OMG Luke is gonna win this.

Funny you should mention Jar Jar, perhaps not my favorite scene of the PT, but the one that gave me the most satisfaction, was where he was basically responsible (through manipulation) for the downfall of the Republic.

I have to admit, I laughed my butt off in the theater.

This is a tough question. I think every OT movie has it's good scenes so per OT movie:
ANH - Cantina Scene

TESB - AT-AT's attacking the Rebels

ROTJ - From the moment Luke enters Jabba's palace to the end of the sail barge Assault

hahahah this question is too hard to answer cause there are so many UNREAL and amazing scenes!!!
Any given scene in the SW saga has an awesome quality about it...whether it be an action scene,comedy scene,emotional scene or just pure bad ass!!!
I will split hairs on this one and will say ROTS...the scene after Anakin has confronted Palpatine,told mace,and Anakin is standing inside the jedi temple,looking out on the horizon to Padmes apartment,where in turn,padme is looking out to the jedi temple-all the while Palpatine quotes"you do know dont you,if the jedi kill me,any thought of saving her,will be lost"..whilst the sirens voice plays in the background.VERY moving scene for me,and one that will always stand out as the moment where Anakin makes his decision.
the other scene would definately be Vaders reveal to Luke after their sabre fight!!!
