I'm flattered by the support everyone gives me, but I really don't think I'm a sure thing in this contest.

I would be surprised if you didn't win, or at least walk away with at least one prize. You're too modest. You're the photo expert here and we are all in awe of your skills. So unless the photos are judge more on the other elements like humor, then I'm sure you're going to win.

Which would be fine by me because we'd get some awesome Vader pics that will hopefully prevent any chicken little situations from even starting up this time.

Well I do appreciate, but I know there are some quiet folks around this site that have skills beyond me, and there are a lot of folks who have skills they don't acknowledge but could be applied to make some interesting stuf, yourself included. Your diorama work is very interesting, I liked the stuff you did with the TDK movie masters figures.

I worry about my chances, honestly, i went with compilation pieces in Photoshop, I didn't submit any pure photographs.

Hey, you're an example of what I'm talking about. I've seen your stuff in the art forum, if you entered this contest you've got a good chance. Your MJ shots show a good eye for properly presenting the figure both with lighting and angle to flatter it, and also in a manner that captures the spirit of the subject.

I don't, I know photographers that are equal or better than me on this site and they may have entered without being vocal about it, I just gave it my best shot.

Well, yeah there are some other very talented photographers here. I just think everyone looks up to you as you were really the first of them to come to the boards. I really do hope there is some stuff that was submitted that rivals your work because I always enjoy well taken pics! Competition usually brings the best out of everyone right?

Well that's the one thing I loved about this contest, not knowing who or what the competition was. The only thing I had to compete with was myself, how much do I want the prize. I poured everything I had into the pieces I did submit, so like I said before, even if I lose, I'll have at least raised some bars for myself in what I can do as an artist and that's something.
