:rotfl

After all the hysteria from ex-Liverpool players turned pundits over the Diego Costa incident, their attitude over Gerrard and Skrtel has been very telling.

If they were truly impartial they should have done a "Liverpool's Crimes" video package and demanded lengthy bans for Gerrard and Skrtel.

All their hypocrisy has achieved is prove Jose Mourinho right about media bias against Chelsea,

:lecture I'd love to see Souness, Redknapp and Carragher defend those potentially leg breaking "challenges".

Good thing De Gea won't have to face Skrtel next season once he's ****ed off to Real!

:( Sad but probably true. Although I'm sure De Gea will be happy, because let's face it, who would want to face Skrtel's ugly mug again. He looks like Jason Voorhees and Gollum's love-child.

yeah not sure that would be a problem for dave if hes still at united next season
after all captain gerrard wont be there at anfield setting a poor undisciplined example to his team mates and supporters and surely skrtel couldn't be so stupid again after letting him self and his side down again next year
you know "class and dignity "the anfield way and all that stuff

TheTuggernaut,
Somebody asked Carragher on Twitter why the Skrtel stamp wasn't brought up and he claimed it was because Thierry Henry brought up another topic and they ran out of air time....which is obviously a load of bollocks :lol

Guardian saying they understand the FA plans no action on skrtels Instragram post.

LFC Statement:
"We are disappointed with the FA's decision to ban Martin Skrtel of Liverpool Football Club for a 'deliberate' stamp on an opponent this past Sunday. Martin himself has a grandfather who was a circus clown, with a family history of abnormally large feet. Martin's condition often results in him grabbing shirts, pushing opponents, and stepping on others as he struggles to maintain his balance. He has shared a family portrait on Instagram to express his sadness at the decision of the FA, who clearly do not appreciate the plight of clowns. Liverpool Football Club counts many clowns among its players and supporters who may slip or stamp but will never walk alone."

Great to see the FA taking action against Skrtel. Disgraceful challenges like that need to be stamped out. Pun absolutely intended.

Wow. :lol

Genius :lol

EarlHickey98,
My best friend is a Chelsea fan and he was gutted to see him go. Chelsea haven't really missed him but United were in desperate need of a midfielder who can unlock defences with quick, accurate passing and so far it's been money well spent.

He made a decent start despite Moyes playing him out of position more often than not and although LVG hasn't always used him he's usually performed when he has and United's midfield looks so much better with him and Herrera in it.

Aside from his ability on the pitch he also seems to be a gent off it as well. I'd sooner have someone like Mata as club captain than Rooney.

TheTuggernaut,
The silence from the Scouse Sports pundits has been deafening. I imagine the silence will continue as the realisation that United's decline isn't as terminal as many suggested starts to sink in.

skytel s At it again.
"Martin isn't that kind of player"
Looks like he's trying to jump over him

And failing badly

Rodgers: "It's clearly the other lad's fault for throwing his face towards Martin's boot".

EDIT
Man Utd 3-1 Aston Villa :clap

2 for Herrera and 1 for Shrek. United's 6th league win in a row puts them 3rd until Monday evening unless Palace can take some points off City.

Next up is the Manchester derby. United haven't won one for a while and are playing a lot better than the game at City earlier in the season so confidence will be high.

Decent first half by united , but half-time subs ruined it. LVG wanted to play it safe, which pretty much underlines his whole philosophy . Fellaini gets another full game in which he does nothing but give away free kicks . Valencia had another abysmal game - surely it's time for Rafael soon?

Oliver was piss poor. Bellerin should've walked, but he bottled that decision. Then after giving Arsenal free kicks all over the pitch for practically nothing, he books Di Maria for diving after slight contact (quite similar situation to minutes earlier where Sanchez got a free kick on the edge of our box under minimal contact by Valencia). No arguments for the second yellow - stupid from Di Maria. Laughable that it's Friend giving a booking for it though considering what Hart got away with,

but that's the consistency you get from refs. Still, no one to blame but ourselves for this result - didn't deserve anything from the game.

michal "mr consistency " oliver the ref strikes again lol

Di Maria touches the referee to get his attention and gets a red. Kompany does the same and doesn't... what a tosser lol

"Van Gaal is not a nice guy. He is closer to the devil than anything"

Diego Maradona comments on LVG's treatment of Radamel Falcao.

Maradona is full of ****, most of which goes up his nose.

Man Utd 4-2 Man City :yess:

City started extremely well and dominated the first 10 minutes but United got back into the game quickly through Ashley Young.

After that United's confidence grew and they lead at half time, Young this time getting the assist for Fellaini who's physical presence continues to cause teams problems.

The way those two have turned their United careers around and reduced the likes of Falcao and Di Maria to bench fodder is the most suprising part about this season.

For most of the game Rooney did sod all but he put Juan Mata through for the 3rd and Young got another assist with the free kick that Smalling scored from and Aguero got a late consolation.

United now have a 9 point cushion between 3rd and 5th so it looks like LVG will achieve the objective of returning to the Champions League at his first attempt.

Chelsea aside, this has turned out to be a really intersting season. I'm enjoying the run in to the end of the season greatly but I'll rue our average start once I look back at the end.
