Received my Vader and Leia from my online order and am quite impressed. Was planning on doing more to Vader but might just do a new cape and call it done. Leia looks pretty much like Carrie Fischer in Jedi or Empire but not ANH but it should suffice. Thought I had a body to switch her out for but the neck peg was for a ball joint. Oh well.

I'm amazed.
I can't believe the price it's just silly. This is the best effort so far looks and feels like five times what I paid for it.

Just a quick mention all I did on mine is get my tried-and-true future floor wax acrylic clear and give him a once-over to make him nice and shiny on the pots that should be shiny. I've pretty much been putting clear acrylic on figures like this for a decade, easy quick and amazing results

















I so hope this line continues long enough to get a full compliment of troopers....storm,sand,new order...don't care..just make more!!!

Damn that looks awesome! You should paint the buttons on his shoulder pouches silver! How tall is the figure?

Is he able to shoulder the rifle? How does the blaster pistol attach to the hip? Thanks!

My "custom" Hot Toys Rey head finally came in. Soon her transformation will be complete. Just waiting on the body now.

what body did you order for her?? I have this figure coming and am thinking of doing the same with the custom head and body. I wonder how the clothes will fit since these are slightly smaller than 1/6 scale.

Nuts, I just saw this thread -- and now they're up to $35 bucks. I'm going to check back after Christmas and see if they go on sale again. I'll only get Vader, however.

I think it brings out the details of what is a decent Vader sculpt even if it is a shade to small for the body. You just can beat this for a $20 figure. I'll be getting the Krennic and Deathtrooper next.

What kind of paint did you use, and what color?

Tamiya mix of red brown & black. The coating on the helmet is Future floor wax and it is surprisingly durable.

Got Kylo Ren for Christmas. Another fantastic figure. Really impressed with the amount of cloth. Even the legs have cloth pants! Also little things like the wire in the hood and the bottom of the robes are awesome. My only major complaint is the lack of a left hand to hold the lightsaber. Makes 2 handed poses tricky.

I think overall Rey may still be a better figure, but they are both great. Happy to have them in my collection. I still gotta hunt down a Darth Vader though. That is a must buy for me.

Also, some have said the head is way too small. What do you guys think? I think it's a tad undersized but I don't think it looks awful. Not sure if I should try to get a new head for it or not.

The passing of Carrie Fisher is so heartbreaking, but you make a good point. I think all Princess Leia figures will be harder to get in the next little while.
