Did you cry at The Dark Knight Rises?

I haven't seen the movie, yet. But I voted no because now I am going to be sure that I don't cry.

Edit - But I cried at the end of "Avengers", though. When The Hulk was desparate to bring Tony Stark back from the dead.

Haven't outright wept in a movie since ROTK. I was freaking deyhdrated after that one!

Again, so did my girlfriend. When the NY citizens laid a path for spidey to web swing through. I felt that was an unexpected cry...

especially the one where Bruce Wayne was climbing out from the prison, and a swarm of bats suddenly appeared around him; as if to remind him that he had already conquered fear. The hard part was already over, and now all he had to do was "rise" out from the darkness - out from the prison, and take back Gotham from Bane.

But, I wasn't moved to tears - I've never cried while watching a movie .

That scene got me too - didn't cry but the building music and Bruce making the jump was pretty moving...

I was honestly more confused and angry that Batman might have actually died with the knife stabbing and the nuclear bomb explosion.

I got teary eyed at the end of TDK when Two-Face is confronting Gordon and Batman. Great music and acting during that scene.

i felt for Wayne when he had his back broke and was struggling to get out of the prison. And while he was fighting Bane the first time and got trapped and didn't believe he could win. So a couple moments made me feel for Wayne but overall nothing teared me up. Alfred got me close tho. I did shed a tear at the very end of TDK when Batman took the blame for Dent.

When he was working out in prison all it was missing was the "Eye of the tiger" song. Reminded me so much of the old Rocky workout comebacks. There was alot of classic movie cues I felt in this, like the whole occupy Gotham/Red Dawn vibe.

I've been to many funerals. My urge to laugh problem isn't as bad. Funerals in general don't seem to be as full of tears and mourning as one might expect.

No, not even close. Alfred's scenes didn't really hit me on an emotional level too much. I think Nolan's tendency to be too cerebral and clever with Alfred's dialogue could have something to do with that.

I don't think there was anything clever about Alfred's dialogue. I thought the scene where he confronts Bruce was too contrived, pathetic and forced and one of the worst scenes in the film. It's surprising because Caine's by far a better actor than that.
