I won't have the money to buy one for quite sometime. I asked for it as a christmas gift, so I'm hoping my Mom will place an order very soon. I think the lowest I've seen it from a website was around $138, before shipping costs. You never know, since this wasn't a limited edition figure you might be able to get one on the cheap by waiting a bit. I didn't want to take chances with this one... and at the time could put up the money on a pre-order.

Excellent pics samuraiwarrior! I actually prefer this grittier likeness since it seems based more on contemporary depictions of him at the time. The U.S./Int'l version is based more on the actor Ken Watanabe (of Last Samurai fame) when he did a period drama about Date for Japanese tv back in '87 as seen in this promo shot:
The title is 'Dokuganryu Masamune' (One-Eyed Dragon Masamune) if anyone's curious and available on dvd but not sure if ever released in the US.
Either head looks pretty cool though, so take your pick.

That DID samurai Date masasume in samuraiwarrior's post has a custom sculpt head made by OSW member andrewlienkailin.
For ppl who got the international version and want a replacement head, you can purchase that replacement head.

Yeah, He's in stock now at Monkey Depot, and will soon be in stock at Good Stuff (this week).
I now know that one won't be ordered for me until sometime around December 10th. I just hope Good Stuff has one available to order at that time.

I talked to the people at Good Stuff, and they said it doesn't seem likely that it'll sell out by then unless there's a run on them. He has arrived! We actually are having winter weather and white-out conditions today so it took me close to an hour to go to the post office and back to pick this guy up 
But well worth the potential road hazzard I am very impressed with the figure... a bit of a bear to get assembled and looking *just* right, but a very cool figure and well worth the wait!
I'll get some pics posted later!
