I'm not following......why is DID doing what is obviously a Ryan Gosling sculpt on a SWAT figure?

Did I miss a movie he was in?

I think it has more to do with the fact that Gosling is a popular guy and they'll sell more figure sets with his head than a generic head. The MI6 Agent and Chicago Gangster figures were hot sellers, so they're following the trend.

Thanks for the info. I get it but Johnny Depp was a 30s gangster (Dillinger)' and Daniel Craig was Bond. So it's strange to me that DID would use Goslings head on the figure in a subject matter not associated to a film he was in.

Oh well I like it too, and most likely will get it! Lol!

They can double their sales this way!

:lol

Really nice fodder for the cobra troops. Or any other black of my bashes that need black gear.

It's actually quite common in the Military Figure genre to use celebrity heads. Most of the Soldier Story figures have celebrity heads featuring guys that haven't played the corresponding role. Recent SS heads have been Don Cheadle, Tom Cruise and Matt Damon. Most military figures are sold as part outs rather than boxed sets, so including a celebrity head is a strong incentive for a part-out dealer to buy inventory of that figure.

Very cool. I do have a few DID figures, which I love:

Patton- George C. Scott
Claus Von Stauffenberg- Tom Cruise
Takeda Shingen- Samurai line
Tony USMC Honor Guard

DID really does some great work. It would be cool if they branched out in the movie genre to give HT legit competition.:exactly:

Damn, no young hercules gear for Gosling? :lol

Question about the shoulder guards he comes with. I like that look, but are they just for show or is that an extension of the tactical vest, does it afford protection or just have another function?

I've seen other vests like that, but it doesn't seem to come around very often.

Also digging all the molle holster mounts hitting the scene, pretty nice selection on the net now and pretty cheap with so many to choose from.
