okay I did not fully realize that you couldn't send it back and apologize for my previous comments but I still stand by my comment that it does seem like a bit of a waste too just destroy it like that

i undestand bro. Believe when i say, I cry everytime I see photos and videos of SS Statues being destroyed

Did anybody bother to ask SSC about a partial refund for the SIM? They usually offer 25%, don't they? That would be $75. If the damage is not that bad, I think $75 easily covers the cost for the paint.
I have to destroy my SIM to get a new one, but I really hate to do it.
