Haven't posted in awhile, still working on Dale 2 here and there. Did a custom head sculpt for him and have done some other bits and bobs.

Also have done some other custom parts for existing figures.

On this figure, the belts and all the tools are custom made, basically scratch-built.

I also made some signs for him. I designed the graphics in illustrator, printed them, and then applied them to scratchbuilt signs that I then weathered.

This is pure magic, from the concept to the weathering.
Dam' I need to add some accessories to my stuff, it makes the whole difference.

Yeah, I don't go in for actual dioramas with backdrops or full rooms or even walls but I do really like a display that's everything but the ground and/or walls. Don't know why but full dioramas always look odd to me.

Perhaps because then it starts to look more like a miniature from a museum or something instead of a home display? I really don't know why, just know what I like :)

I've been trying to figure out what in hell to do for the base of the sign poll. Nothing seemed to make sense. I ended up going with a "concrete" formed base, which I suddenly remembered seeing on similar moveable signs at car washes and the like. I made the base using super sculpy pressed into a form. I then painted it with some light matt gray paint with a mixture of baking soda and corn starch for the texture. Finally just went over it with some browns and blacks to weather it a bit.

You can also see the base for the billboard, it's just a pretty simple slab of wood with holes drilled into it for the two posts.

I also took a fancy LED photo of how my Zomb is currently displayed on the shelf.

That adds so much to the figure it's unbelievable. Fantastic work!

Just for kicks, the actual on-shelf display of this guy, not the recreation I did against my backdrop above.
