Stephen Lang is and will always be my top choice for Cable but I'll wait and see how they make Brosnan look (He's got a few months to bulk up).

Brosnan would be an interesting choice... and I would be open to give him the chance to prove me wrong about being a good Cable. But I agree, I can't see him as Cable at all.

I still don't buy that Brosnan's Cable. My money continues to be on him playing Black Tom Cassidy.

The archetype they want for Cable (which Reynolds described in the stinger) is nothing like Brosnan. He's gotta be the villain.

Mel Gibson & Dolph Lundgren = Badass, grizzled, muscular Caucasian men in their 60s.

An archetype this dude fits perfectly.
