Super Freak
Since Locke and Key seems to have fizzled out, my favorite comic right now is "Chew," written by John Layman and awesomely drawn by Rob Guillory.
The comic series pretty much goes in 5 issues arcs, and they are only up to issue 11 or 12. Planned to end at issue 60. I've been on board since day one. I believe there are two graphic novels that cover issues 1-5 and 6-10.
The story/stories are all about food. The main character has an ability that whatever he eats, he knows the history of whatever he's eaten. So if he eats an apple, he knows what tree it grows on in which orchard. If he eats a hamburger, he knows how the cow was slaughtered in which slaughter house. The police department has decided to use Tony Chew as a detective in order to solve crimes/mysteries, which sometimes means he has to ingest the victims of the crimes in order to solve the crime. It's a very original premise. And like I said, all the stories focus around food. That is the writer's (John Layman) intention. The story revolves around the aftermath of the avian/bird flu killing a lot of the population.
Anyway, I highly recommend it.

It's just in the starting stages and looks to be like a great ride.
