Not sure what the debate is since both sets have their merits. In my opinion, this is the first EX from the PF line that can truly live up to the EX title. Completely different than the regular and with a legitimate EX run quantity. Both these pieces will be treasured in my collection for a very long time!

No doubt, both versions are gonna rock.

Wasn't really trying to start a debate. I think the EX droids are nice. I just like the weathered Droids because that is how they looked for most of the OT. The EX Droids are the PT versions

I love the details in the weathering. I hope Sideshow keeps the production pieces as close to the proto as possible.

Yes, this is one exclusive option that Sideshow got right. Had it been reversed and the weathered version had been the exclusive limited to 200, I think it would have been very bad. The weathered version is my prefered version, but for those who like the shiny or dig the low ES, they're happy too. I haven't heard too many people upset that they can't get what they want (other than the split bases on the EX)...

For me it's simple; the droids together on one base just as they started their adventure (I don't count the PT). Mixed with a little weathering and just enough poseability for a classic pose, it's all good for me.

I'm really surprised with this hitting the coming soon section of the newsletter (which used to be the shipping in next 30 days section) today, this thread hasn't exploded.

Mines coming through a local reseller here in Australia so not sure how long I have to wait.

I know, short of a miracle...it ain't happenin'. I do have the regular's on order, so im at peace with it.

If I were any of you with the exclusive secured, I'd go ahead and go the route I and others took with the PZ exclusive (only 100, remember), and call for a total, and send a money order or cashier's check for what you owe on the pair of droids.

Don't **** with Sideshow. They will cancel you in a heartbeat, even if they mis-punch a number on the credit card approval process! (I think)
