Yes....which sucks cause Sideshow usually does such a great job. Don't think this is worth anywhere near $800. I'd rather go to an expert and get one for half the price on thedentedhelmet.com

I would go for the Sideshow bust It has a great presence and for the "normal" collector there is no differences between the helmet on the bust and the MR helmet, yes apart from the acrylic visor...
But I like The Boba Bust alot and It will be in my collection along with my other Busts!

Hmm....true, but the Normal collectors aren't spending the $800 for these. Normal collectors would buy the cheap Boba Fett Deluxe Helmet that's $75 and be contempt. You and the other's in here that are dropping the big $$$ on this one are well beyond normal collectors and IMO you need to get as much as possible for that money. For this much money SS needs to include the jetpack.

Haha...well..www.thedentedhelmet.com and they wont be half that.. A professionally painted helmet, and a good helmet..cost you $800 if your lucky. But if you bought an MR helmet..you could easily get some wookie braids and armor for $200 plus some fabric for the jumpsuit...paint the armor yourself and have a solid piece for $600

I'm with u 2,..,and so true,.., so true!! Talked with the local sell it on ebay outlet and arranged to drop the MR Fett helmet B 4 they close today. Next 2 a life size statue,..,the bust will be the one to own,..,

Someone pick that up if you want a good replica piece. As for people complaining and being a normal collector.. I hear people ripping apart every figure that comes out.. I would not be suprised at all if this sells out..but I was just stating that for the money they are asking..it should be friggin dead on. All of the other busts I have seen have looked pretty good.. just not sure why this one is so off in so many ways. But if you like it then by all means...buy it..thats what it comes down too. I still like to vent

I really dont see the HUGE difference... yeah, I can agree the helmet and the custom do look good, but not 5x times of detail...
The custom looks good, but he has droopy shoulders and it looks like a custom. MR helmet is cool.
But its a matter of opinion...

No doubt...a lot of people here are criticizing a prototype. SSC will adjust the concerns and it will be tits, anyways this is a 4quarter release, there is plenty of time.

yeah, I'm a huge Boba fan, hence why I can tell. I'm just like you though when it comes to Stormtroopers/Vader's helmets. They all look the same to me. But the "droopy" shoulders on the custom is because it's probably just a mannequin torso underneath

So true,.., Dooku PF anyone? Even if no changes are made it is good wiith me. Could not care less if it looks like my MR helmet or not. I have been waiting for SS to make this or Jango,..,and my prayers are answered.

Droopy shoulders? lol That costume is wearable..those shoulders arent mounted there..you can move them however you want. And its cool for someone who doesnt care much about Fett, but why buy it then? If you are into the character..there are alot of mistakes and lack of detail...with the color scheme alone its a Frankenfett of ESB and ROTJ..which are very VERY different.

I'm working on a Jango myself and all that armor plus the flak vest underneath can cost you roughly around $300 to $500, plus another couple hundred for a bucket. It all depends how good the quality you want for the metal used for the armor to be, so you can probably get one for around the same cost as the SS bust, but the quality will "most likely" be better PLUS you can actually wear it.

His site isn't around anymore but I gott all my vac formed armor from him and used a Don post 95 as a helmet. There's also armor you can get on ebay made of sintra, so you can also thow those in. So I had a few hundred mixed up in that one.
I spent $125 on my Sgt. Fang helmet and am currently having a friend paint it. I was hoping to get an upper half of a mannequin and build my own lifesize GG posed bust. So glad now that I never bought a MR. If I had blown the $500 on it just to have this released 2 years later, I'd be a bit ticked.
If anyone here actually cared, they would start dropping hints to sideshow about doing their research at The dented helmet instead of coming to the boards and _____ing.

Hey guys those pics were taken a while back ill take new ones. With the suit complete. I had actual high res photos of the pre pro helmet3 when i painted this helmet i spent over 80 hrs painting it. it's pretty dang close to the real deal. I've seen the MR helmet it doesn't have whole lot of detail on it.
The MR and the SS version are flawed in the fact that this visor is screwed up. If you look at the visor front comes in on an angle its not straight, also there's suppose to be a rim bump.
Also the suit is current on a women's mannequin torso i still have to adjust it.
