I was just curious what the best dremel kit would be for a starter to begin to work with? Any recommendations?

Any one really, as long as it's variable speed. I also would recommend a plug in. Having to worry about charging batteries can be a pain. I bought a Dremmel 300 from Walmart and it was under $50.

Like Dark Passenger, I bought a (plug in) Dremel 300 and then purchased some micro drill (0.3mm to 1.6mm) and etching tool sets from ebay. As for tools, it all depends what you're looking to do, but for 1/6 modifications, the grinding and etching tools and small drills are all I've needed so far.
