Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

Thank you so much freaks!~ Will try my very best to make it happen!~:yess:

Rogerbee: :exactly: WOW man, what a pair of good eyes you have there!! I'm so so happy with someone who can see such difference!! Absolutely right that these pictures are something around 95mm focal. And it's always recommended that modeling portrait (3D) under a long focal camera.

Reference photos are all around and they are of varying lens focal and distortion. Matching the right focal of virtual cam to an unknown focal photo is always a big headache (maybe to me). And I think I learned a lot through my recent head sculpting journey.

Craig has a very wide head under a long focal. And some of the photographers like to use wide angle to shoot his face, making a big nose and elongated head~

Yeah, it came from sculpting heads in Daz Studio and wondering why they looked different when I put them into Poser. It wasn't till I spoke to that photographer and did my own research that I realised why.

After re-watching Quantum of Solace yesterday and then seeing your sculpt I could see just how close to him you'd got and you've done a fantastic job. Neither of us are likely to ever meet Daniel Craig in the flesh so it's hard to say just how close anybody has really come.

I have a photo of him in a Bond On Set book from when he was making Casino Royale and it is without any doubt the photo Feng used when he sculpted his Craig.

Look at these pics:

Will the real Daniel Craig please stand up! :lol

Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

I just went back and looked at that print you did of Craig and, to me, it looks too thin and elongated somehow. If you cast this and there is some mould distortion you may end up with a very thin looking head.

It might be better to go for the 120mm focal, print that and see how it looks as it might better allow for any mould distortion.

Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

Great work! Love the DC, especially from front on. Side on it looks a bit too long from top to bottom IMO.

He definitely looks different in every picture you see him in! I have noticed that myself.

Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

Hi freaks, here's a custom lisbeth sculpt for practice~ I like the movie a lot~ still a digital sculpt, but will consider printing it out.

Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

I finally have some time to update my girl and~ the craig.
The craig is for bond and also tattoo~ So far I have done a lot about craig and I feel this is the right proportion for him~

For the freaks who want the gump, I'm so sorry that it cannot be offered at the moment as the cast quality bad (well I do have a few good copies with little bit bubbles needing fix). I'm still practicing to do better molding and casting and I will see the possibility for vacuum casting. Sooner or later I will be able to produce my own heads. Thanks for all your support~

A reminder, If I go for printing, The earrings of the girl will not be included because they are just too tiny...will break easily

WOW!!!!:thud: put me on a waiting list for those scuplts. Will they also be painted?
EDITED: in the quote about Salanders "earrings" try a black rubber style, this just came while staring at my HT Predator use a rubber cast that can be securely held in her ears and leave the back of the gauge sculpted, it may even be easier to have a two piece cast of her head. Granted it will take some trial and error to figure out the process...

Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

Ok, I just hope they turn out well. There's been a few anticipated Craigs that haven't passed muster, so, there has to be one at some point that will.

Any news on the Lisbeth head??

Still waiting to see a printed out version.

Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

Hmm, been a little while hasn't it.

I really want to see what the DC looks like. Somebody said that Iminime heads can be undersized so this one could be our only hope.

Hope not!

You guys make me nervous:FREAK:~ So far I'm still waiting for the package~ According to print shop the prints are great. Let's see how they turn out then~:1-1:

In the mean time let's share with you some other stuff~ Saya from Blood the Last Vampire~
I don't like the movie but I like the actress~

Re: bbkill's Sculpts: Tattoo, Craig, Predator, Gump

I don't know the actress but that's lovely! Glad to hear the prints are on their way. Hope you're not disappointed -- this is the critical step over which you don't have control. bbkill, are you also a traditional sculptor? If need be, can you make waste molds and wax duplicates of the prints that you can then clean up and use to finalize detail?
