It's hard to take anything at face value, today. I hope it's not an April fool's prank.

That rumor popped up at the end of last week so it's probably not an April fools day thing, then again I don't particularly believe it I guess we'll find out more at E3. Then again it does fit with the variety report from last year.

Batman: Arkham Origins is coming October 25,2013

Warner Bros. Games Montreal has taken the mantle of the bat from Rocksteady Studios this time around for Batman: Arkham Origins. WB Montreal has full access to Rocksteady's custom modified Unreal engine to capture the look and feel of the Arkhamverse. As the title suggests, the game takes place years before both of the previous Arkham titles when a young, unrefined Batman encounters many supervillains for the first time. On our full cover image below, fans will recognize the assassin Deathstroke, who appears for the very first time in a core Arkham game.

Heading up the vision for Arkham Origins is creative director Eric Holmes, known for being the lead designer of open world action hits The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype. A self-professed lover of comics, Holmes even wrote the miniseries Transformers: Megatron Origin for IDW.

Gamers won't have to wait long to experience Batman's lastest adventure. Batman: Arkham Origins releases October 25, 2013 on Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Man, I cant believe Rocksteady couldn't stick around for at least one more game before moving on.

Good premise, but to leave Arkham City's ending hanging out there without resolution is just a mistake...

What wasn't resolved? Seemed pretty final to me... I never played Harley Quinn's revenge, did more happen in that?

I would have rather had a sequel than a prequel myself, but it's hard not to be excited about this!

Gotta wait for more details though before I can crank up the excitement levels. I just hope that the rumour about the Justice League featuring in this game isn't true. I'm not a JL fan in the slightest. A cameo appearance I could maybe handle.

Nevertheless, that cover is AWESOME!

What wasn't resolved? Seemed pretty final to me... I never played Harley Quinn's revenge, did more happen in that?

In HQR we were kinda left hanging about Batman's state of mind. He was at an all time low and everyone knew it. That wasn't resolved at all.

Mind you, this is a prequel, so they could totally ignore that if they wanted. Also means we'll more than likely get Joker back aswell.
