Ordered. This is the first non baddie I have ordered from Asmus. Looks like a truly amazing figure with a dead on likeness. I love the costume as it perfectly duplicates the third film. This is going to be truly amazing!!!!!

-- but I do find this figure extremely tempting. But I need the space for Legolas... Gimli... Frodo... Samwise... Boromir... and of course LURTZ!


That said, this might be a figure where in-hand pictures make me pull the trigger.

Yes,
it is exactly the concern we have at moment,
swords are no doubt will be in die-cast.

It would be great if we can have more parts done in metal,
it will add a good density to the figure.

It will be exactly like the pictures,
this display was 2015 at STGCC,
we displayed last week in NYCC, and it was exactly the same one used to take the photos of.

I just put my order on Thranduil, I was hoping for a matte finish on his skin, but maybe that can be fixed. Its a marvellous figure, overall. Can't wait for Legolas.
Here's hoping Legolas comes with a lot of extras, and his "younger' LOTR look

That's true, though the hairline will be a tad more visible because Legolas doesn't wear a headdress thing like his pa.

I asked Sideshow customer service earlier if they were planning on carrying this, and they said they haven't received any information from Asmus about this figure yet, so they don't know if they're going to have it or not. I'd imagine they'll get some quantities, but I'm thinking it might be better ordering from Asmus direct on this one to be safe.
