This dang piece has been bothering me ever since it was announced. I finally decided to get it over with (no self control!!) and ordered the ex as it only has <20 left, dont want to wait until last in case i need replacements.

Going to get the head repainted by a specialist Can someone point to the movie photos of arwen/liv with a blade scratch on the cheek so I can give to the artist to use as a reference for the repaint. Went back many pages cant seem to find it! But i do remember seeing them in this thread.

Congrats on finally ordering her. I wouldn't say she needs to be repainted but that's each persons personal decision of course.

Hi

Today I´ve received the Arwen statue and, in my point of view, Sideshow has not paseed de QC is this statue. The lips are bad painted and between the eye right and the eyebrow is dirty with a paint drop. And of course, the crossed eyes. I don´t know how paint the lips and the eyes and I don´t have why spend money with this. It is shameful!.

got the ex, as expected horrible face paint, how on earth did this paint get pass QC, seriously... I will be sending the ex head to get repainted asap, one of the best in the biz will be doing it for me. So quite excited!

Also i noticed there are small gaps between the head & the body, do you guys also see this? highlighted in red.

The regular head looks great. As far as the gaps make sure you've got it pressed all the way down.

I'm sorry, but lets call a spade a spade because we all know the SSC dropped the ball on this one - big time. I'll admit the regular head is a bit better, but neither one should have made it past QC. If this was a few people with issues it's different, but it's not. Nearly everyone in this thread who ordered her has some negative issue with the paint.

i tried it was already pressed down, i am going to get a drummer tool and make the opening deeper on the body so the head can fully sit itself and cover the gaps.

That is a gorgeous repaint of Obi-Wan, and I would be thrilled to see how your Arwen repaint turns out. I am very happy with mine, but I could see how some paint touch ups really drive home how good the portrait sculpture really is! Keep us posted Gagaliya!!!
