This may be some of the worst factory paint jobs i have seen from Sideshow. :horror

As I've said before sometimes my own photo skills don't help me. When not BLOWN up to the size of photo I use it looks just fine.

Nice try Josh, but even you will have to agree the paint apps on the Arwen head sculpts are less than satisfactory. As you know I have had issues with them myself. :(

Having said that you're right, when you take pics that are blown up so much, it makes her looks worse than she does in-hand or on display.

She is the weakest in the line IMHO, but it is a wonderful line :clap and I am still glad she is part of it. :wink1:

I am forced to agree. Yes, a blown up pic shows more of the detail, but, that being said, Arwen's paint apps leave a lot to be desired. They just dropped the ball on this one, no other way to say it.

I stand by what I said. Are the the best of the line so far? No, but they're awful either.

Overall, she's another very nice addition and I'm glad to have her in my collection.

You know me, Josh- I really prefer villains. But I couldn't resist this pairing and so glad I didn't! Very pleased.

Next week my brother is going to light this new cabinet. Once it's finished, I'll take better pics of these and my grails loaded into it...

:D

That's true and IMO it says something about how nice the pair looks together.

Sweet!! That should looks great!

I didn't want to wait until the FlexPay schedule completed and find that I was unhappy with the Arwen paint job, so I asked Sideshow to complete my flex and ship Arwen early. She arrived today, #275 of 500 and I am really thrilled that I pushed up the schedule.

The sculpt is pretty bang on, especially on the regular head. The exclusive head looks a little more narrow than perhaps it should, and mine came with a small paint nick right on the top of the hair above her forehead. This will be an easy retouch, so no need to send it back. The regular portrait and paint job are really amazing. I think the likeness is better than both the SSW bust and statue from the original line, and I love the riding dress. Their is so much detail, from the stitching on her sleeves to the tampo on the sword (yes it is a sticker, but it is applied perfectly). She not only pairs well with Aragorn, but fits into the whole line perfectly. I have wanted the hobbits to be the next offering, but Arwen is a great start to some of the secondary characters.

I will try to get pictures of the whole collection soon, but things are in disarray like you wouldn't believe. If anybody is on the fence, I recommend you jump off and grab this statue. I don't think you'll be disappointed to add her to your collection. I would even be thrilled to see another representation of Arwen in the Premium Format line at this point, but please bring on the Hobbits!

Terrific job Sideshow!!!
