I love how it says forthcoming shipment. So not really shipping is it...

40% off on all instock items till Sunday. They have several helmets available

I just posted the following in the props/helmet thread but figured it would fit here as well:

I reached out to Anovos regarding the status of my X-Wing Helmet order (placed and paid for last April) and the person advised that they are due to arrive in the next week or two.

Hopefully this is an accurate answer.

One of the two helmets I might have been interested in, next to the unproduced Death Star Trooper. But being Anovos is not worth the hassle, especially since I already have a fiberglass Royal Guard helmet.

Quick update... Emailed them back a couple of weeks ago on my pending order. Their reply was that it was due to arrive "Spring season March 20 - June 20".

My Spidey senses are tingling in a "Molecule8" kind of way...

Did they tell you specifically it was spring season 2019? Because who knows at this point. Might be 2020. 2025. 2030. I'm sort of kidding, but mostly not at this point.

I wish I could say they don't owe me anything, but I do have an outstanding order. It's only one, which is the Death Trooper Specialist helmet. I'd try to get my order cancelled at this point but that's going to be a fight.

I'm really disgusted by their constant barrage of sales and pre-orders. It's like they're trying everything they can to get money to pay the manufacturers to get their new inventory. It all feels just so desperate and disappointing.

It's really a shame because I've been generally happy with all the products I've received from them before all this.

just got this email regarding a message from their blog, so i'll post it here:

Meeting Expectations: A Letter from ANOVOS To Our Customers

To our customers,

At ANOVOS, we strive to make high quality products and deliver them in a timely manner. Our founding principle was to create costumes and props that would set the “gold standard” in production quality replicas. However, we realize that we have not effectively met the delivery expectations of our customers, and we would like to sincerely apologize for any frustration this may have caused.

Our goal is always to improve all aspects of our company, and we are aware of the delays in production, refunds, and in-stock shipments. We, too, consider these delays unacceptable and hear your concerns.

Over the next few days we will be communicating how ANOVOS plans to change in order to serve our customers and community better. It is our hope that these necessary changes in both process and transparency will restore your trust and faith in us as a valued customer.

Thank you for your support and patience.

Joe Salcedo, CEO ANOVOS Productions LLC

Dana Gasser, COO ANOVOS Productions LLC

I received this email too.Im glad they acknowledge their faults, and promise to do better, but I have a preorder that's going on two years now. This is the reason I do not do any more business with them.Actions speak louder than words.
Get it together and I will return.

I received the email yesterday as well and posted a respectable reply stating that I was still waiting a year for one order and a month for an "in-stock" neck-tie order (Star Trek tie, which looked pretty cool.) They have yet to post it. The ones that they do post sound more like shill posts with the occassional, "...all is good, just give us some updates..." type of posts.

The cynical side of me says that the recent barrage of pre-orders could be fishy...

Why can't these companies just focus on churning out 3-4 pieces a year and nailing them out of the park? Marvel Legends replicas whilst at a lesser price and quality point seem to follow this model and are having no real issues in terms of delays etc.

Is it greed, getting in over their head or is it Disney charging so much for the license putting them in the corner of having to announce and open pre-orders for 10-20 different trooper designs, rebel helmets, a bunch of TFA/ TLJ pieces that very few are interested in just to recoup licensing fees?

While I agree with the sentiment, if you're referring to the Hasbro Marvel Legends line, those are really just expensive toys made by an enormous company with a logistical capacity and reach far beyond a smaller operation like ANOVOS. The two companies make entirely different products that have to meet entirely different standards.

I am not defending ANOVOS, but it's easy to see why small companies like them or eFX get into trouble when they only make a limited number of products for a very limited niche market.

My only issues with Anovos are the following:

1. Don't collect the full amount ahead of time if the items will not ship out within a week or two. At best, collect a small deposit.
2. Don't advertise items as "in-stock" and then not ship them out because they apparently were never in stock to begin with.
3. Don't allow refund requests to go unresolved.

Aside from that, Anovos is doing fine.

I'm sure some of you got the latest email from them entitled "Straight Talk about Shipping".

Looks like they had a falling out.
Just a guess: they either laid-off employees or some of them got tired of the BS and left.

It's not looking good for this company.

And now they’ve just sent out an “all sales final” email effective today, without an offer to refund customers who’ve been waiting months or years for products.
