Almost Human is a sci-fi series produced by J.J. Abrams and J.H. Wyman (Fringe). Production value looks good and it stars Karl Urban, so I am definitely looking forward to it. The show also stars Michael Ealy, who was seen in the series FlashForward.

Looks like it could be ok, Urban is awesome so that'll at least get me to give it a try.

The bad guys are using NECA Immortal masks repainted white, and if I'm not mistaken the Foot in the new TMNT movie also wear them but repainted with a Fu Manchu look. Pretty weird.

Fox Sci-Fi show with no bankable stars. No matter how good it is, it probably won't find it's audience.

I'll be damned shocked if this makes it through it's first season.

I like Karl Urban, but I wouldn't call him a bankable star outside of fanboy/girl circles.

Who knows though? I don't think anyone was expecting Sleepy Hollow to be a breakout hit, but it managed to escape Fox's axe.

Karl Urban? Isn't he the guy that has a supporting role in Star Trek, Red and one of the Riddick films from 10 years back? Didn't he also have a relatively small role in two Lord of the Rings movies and The Bourne Supremecy? I do remember him being the lead in Dredd (a movie that tanked) and Doom (a film that everyone would like to forget)

Don't get me wrong I like Urban as an actor, but he's really only known by fanboys because his career has found its niche in sci-fi and fantasy. Hardly makes him a bankable star.

I don't think anyone is saying that. Celtic was just making the point that Fox is notorious for cancelling these types of shows with extreme prejudice.

I just noticed that this show is going to air monday nights as a lead-in to Sleepy Hollow, that already gives it a fighting chance.

Exactly. Even if this show is a masterpiece, and one of the best TV shows in a long time...if it doesn't find an audience in less then 3 episodes, it's gone. Period.

Just saw the preview for this. Super excited to see Urban doing a weekly project, but I think his partner Ealy is something of a male Summer Glau. Hope this makes it, the concept is great and more scifi on tv is always good in my book.
