Muppets are awesome!

I hope SS picks up where MR left off, I need a Fozzy!!

Like most of the movies (I shouldn't have been drunk during the Letters one, so didn't like it too much) Bought the Wiz of Oz one months ago but haven't watched it yet.

Well, well...
seems like AT LAST, Disney is doing something good with the Muppets!
I hope it's not Direct to DVD though...

D23 Expo: Disney Announces The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made!

Source:Silas Lesnick September 11, 2009

Roaring applause from Disney fans filled the Anaheim Convention Center Arena as the Muppets took the stage, performing a song and dance number live on-stage. At the conclusion of the performance, Disney Studios Chairman ^^^^ Cook officially announced that the upcoming Muppet film (written by Jason Segel) will be titled The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made.

This title references an old title, developed Jim Henson in 1985 but never produced that would have featured Gonzo directing a Hollywood film and quickly blowing the project's budget. Though unconfirmed, it is likely that this new film will mirror the same storyline.

This is what Disney hath wrought. Never forget.

Three things.

1: I would gladly give my muppet to Jessica Simpson, especially in the shape she was in for this commerical. Same as she was here.

2: Any Muppet exposure is good Muppet exposure because it keeps it in the public consciousness. When people forget who the Muppets are then they lose all possibilities of things like an actual movie written by a fan that will restore the faith. I'll take a Pizza Hut commercial or an appearance on So You Think You Can Dance or whatever if it means positive exposure. I was hoping the recent Sesame Street exposure on Scrubs this past season meant Disney was getting closer to acquiring that license.

3: Side projects do not shake the devoted follower. I love Star Wars but would like to remind that things like the Christmas Special, Ewok movies, appearances including the Muppets or fun poking like the Target commercials which included wake up calls from Vader or the direct teasing of Vader in movies like Night at the Museum 2 do not make me worry or care less. In fact most of it is ignored out right as is a lot of the tongue in cheek Muppet stuff. Keep putting them up there because at least it means Disney is using them.

Now give me a slice! :lol

Yeah, but they did this too. :D
