1-6th Snowspeeder project

Well I need to slow down a little and I dont want to over do it.. well until they sort me out then I can really get stuck in .

So no masses of progress but this is what we have so far.

Complicated angles to say the least... Ow my word. But fun.

I wouldn't be surprised if you somehow found a way to add not only a light-up screen inside, but a working harpoon gun too!

Next you'll have to make a 1/6 AT-AT.

Great start Dorgs. The snowspeeders are one of my top three fav Star Wars ships, right behind the Falcon and X-wing. You're off to a great start.

I wouldn't be surprised if you somehow found a way to add not only a light-up screen inside, but a working harpoon gun too!

I love The Empire Strikes Back, but there was always something about the Hoth battle that bugged me:

When Luke realizes the AT-AT armour is too thick for the blaster cannons he suggests using the harpoons and tow cables. It seems to be an improved attack that he comes up with on the spot.

If so, then what was the normal function of the harpoons prior to that battle? Under what other circumstances would you suddenly anchor a high speed flying craft to a stationary object on the ground?

How different will they be from each other? Are you doing grey and orange markings? One of the speeders had a side panel removed and lots of orange framework and mechanics visible. That would be pretty cool to do on one.

At the moment one will be Lukes grey one and the other will be orange.. So loving the shape but I have been sent to the shed as the kitchen is just to small

LOL I said it before and I will say it again. The death star would just be TTTTOOOOOOO big I worked out it would be 7 miles across... Now that would be a project

Ahh I have too many other projects planned too many. Hopefully get the canopy cut out tomorrow, then its gonna look like a speeder

You'll have to do an AT AT walkers foot to go with Lukes speeder. You know that, right!

An AT-AT foot would make a great base for one of these to "fly" over.

Well I have drawn up the last major parts and will cut them out tomorrow ... it feels like Christmas

I just wish I could have made the whole thing in plasticard! But when I costed it I would have had to sell my landrover... dog... a kidney and and one of my dollies... and it was just not worth it.
