It would be perfect if HT did a Snowtrooper. I want at least one more and either a HT or an SSC-version that someone punts when getting the new HT will be fine by me. Perfectly happy with the look of the Sideshow and even the Hasbros with a few tweaks that someone posted manning the E-web looked sufficient to me. I guess I'm much more particular when it comes to the Stormtroopers.

I think the SSC Snowtrooper is quite good, not sure if a HT version is needed. Stormtrooper yes, Snowie no.

It's pretty clear that HT will not do recent Sideshow characters, so the point is somewhat moot for the next few years. ;)

I'd agree... the only serious complaint I have with the Sideshow is their choice to use rubber for the face mask. I'd have preferred something that could be posed; however it prevented me from feeling the need to buy two, so the one I have looks great!

Also, just got a good deal on a Marmit AT AT Driver, so my Imperial Hoth needs are pretty well taken care of at the moment.

Here is a shot of my upgraded Snowtrooper E-Web squad....

I want to thank Fahad(ZE_501) for helping me out with this project. Cheers mate. :)

Great work, Chris!

As promised, close-ups of my masks to show you what I meant about apparent volume and fit:

Sorry for the delay; nerding out this weekend a bit since the wife is away. ;)

Anyway, I think you have it nailed.

I find this figure is heavily futzing-dependent to help the body "flow".

Ideally it needs a body swap because the shoulders bug me more than anything, but I'm lazy and my spare bodies are going to ninja customs. :p

Anyway, more shots of my troops, one with the group spread out to show variations in the way the costume hangs.

As far as the backpacks go, I just tightented the straps on mine, fit fine.

Nice!!! How did you do the mask? What did you use??

ZE_501 made the masks for me. They are made of adhesive vinyl with paper backing. This lets you form/crease them until you get the look you are going for. Bending them is the tricky part, you dont want to get carried away. :)
