A quick update on the Speeder, may start a new thread....just hope the custom build police don't get all precious and delete this thread as well :cuckoo:

Please post a message here if you do start a new thread. I've heard as long as you are not using branding names or likenesses of actors then you should be OK. Maybe call this a Landhopper or Landfloater or something and you should be good.

And yes, I'm also really looking forward to seeing the painted proto !! How many 3D printed parts going into it ?

There'll be no 3d printed parts in the actual final build as I'm planning on mostly cast resin. The 3d printer is just for prototyping.

Re-designed the engines over the weekend as I noticed I only had 3 rear scoops instead of 4 :slap
Sides are now glued on and should be ready for finishing later today, so I'll stick some progress images up over the next day or so.

There's some obvious changes and improvements needed on the final build but this "Landfloater" :wink1: is only prototype No1
The next version should be the finished master pattern.

OK awesome ! Step by step with the prototypes.

Yes, understand totally about printing then casting. Only way to go for higher numbers of parts and to get a better surface finish too.

Am interested in the internal dash and any greeblies there and also externally. Not sure how much reference material there is for internals though ??

Hoping to jump on this too. I foolishly missed the bridge dio. Fingers crossed I get in on the run AND have sufficient funds. No social media for me, so I love what pictures can be posted here. Looks great so far!

Just finishing off the 2x open door versions, I've made a few changes and really pleased with the look :yess: and got a great idea for behind the door. Then a final coat of grey, detailing, subtle weathering/stains/marks and everything gets a coat of clear matt to seal.

As soon as these are shipped I'll be able to finally get the Landspeeder out :yess:
