So I just got shipping notification my snowtrooper 2 pack shipped and SS included a free Deathtrooper specialist. How awesome is that?!? It helps I've bought every OT and TFA HT figure but reason why I continue to buy from SS. Very nice gesture. Second free trooper they've offered.

To the best of my knowledge (and I welcome someone to correct me if I'm wrong on any of this) there were three versions released by hot toys.

The first release was simply called Death Trooper, and came with all three weapons (pistol, rifle, and scoped rifle), had no shoulder clips, no pauldron, and no grenade belt, and had the range finder attachment on his helmet.

They later released the Death Trooper Specialist and the Death Trooper Specialist Deluxe.

The Death Trooper Specialist only had the rifle and pistol (missing out on the scoped rifle), and also came with the grenade belt and shoulder clips, but had no pauldron and no range finder attachment on his helmet.

The Death Trooper Specialist Deluxe only had the scoped rifle and the pistol (missing out on the regular rifle), and also came with the grenade belt and shoulder clips, as well as also coming with a black pauldron, the range finder attachment on his helmet, a stormtrooper doll, and a themed display base.

In other words, there isn't an "ultimate" version that has all weapons and extra armor.

I'm looking for one of the short rifles.

Finally got this specialist opened up...a quick shot:



The lights work better on this one for me (the one I picked up earlier has very dim lights on the helmet, and they go out after 30 seconds or so)...as stiff and limited to pose as the other one...I like the scoped gun but it looks a little more toy-like in it's detailing and finish...the base is cool. The lil' dolly is a cute add..when I get some shots of this one with it, I'll use the screen accurate gun from the other trooper. Glad I picked this one up. Two of them together on display look very intimidating and intense on the shelf.

So now I have two of them...where's Krennic, Hot Toys?
