I hope it won't be years until they finally get to Jedi Luke.

I think it may be years no matter what, just based on their current volume of releases and their schedules. Let's say they announce a bit over one year from now, which is not unreasonable given they haven't even hit ESB yet, then the figure ships about 9 months after that, making it about two years. Maybe TFA won't affect their OT schedule at all though, so that would be a plus.

They will probably announce Jedi Luke around the time of TFA.

I noticed some discrepancies in hot toys version Of ANH Luke
for one as you'll notice the sleeves are longer and wider than there version. 2nd the pants on the figure is to baggy, the appearance of bagginess is caused from the boot wraps pushing up the pant-leg he is wearing. Also some color is off on the boots and wraps they should be more golden tan and the pants are a stoney beige. neither are one monotone color.

the belt is actually deep brown with some blonding(bleaching) around wear upper and lower part of belt aka called weathering.
this belt looks brand new and English tan where as holster and compartments are the correct color. That really should be looked into.

Hair color is tricky, he has dark golden blonde hair or light golden brown hair whichever you argue it's all the same actually. In certain lighting that looks darker or lighter. but Luke could use more dry brushing in a more brass-yellow color. that way in low lights it will deepen and in bright lights it should be agreeable.

True. I just hope we don't see a long wait like between Bespin Luke and Han. I don't think we will though. Not with all the new SW coming out in the next few years. That and they've pretty much hit all the main characters from ANH aside from Leia. I wouldn't be suprised if we see some ESB characters along with TFA at the cons over the summer.

That being said just a bit of gold highlights would work to lighten it up. View attachment 187824

Bloody hell that looks awful, you need more red and less yellow. to make deep golden blonde you need to make like a sand color, and add like a brass color yellow and some red to help tone.
you cant get that color on a computer better off doing a color grab from illustrator

There are some discrepancies, but the movies have discrepancies also. i think its all around awesome. i hope they do make some changes tho like you are saying.

I do too, for some reason when it comes to blonde's toy companies are all thumbs when it comes to paint, there better off hiring a real painter from Spain or Italy at this rate.

I do hope they don't give Leia the type brown I have seen on here, her hair has a chocolate reddish tone. I think only silver surfer got it right I dont know where everyone got her hair was more sepia

...but I would prefer an escape pod if/when they make R2 and 3PO.
I don't care about HT's eventual flawed droids, but I'd love an escape pod - don't care who makes it - actually, I'd prefer Sideshow, HT would probably make it out of packing foam.
I would buy the **** out of an SSC Escape Pod. Provided they scaled it right.
Now that is something I could do and would love to have. From the comments, it looks like it'd be a hit.

Highlight the hair a bit and you have a real stunner!

Bring on Jedi Luke!

WRT comparing figures to characters, don't use promo photos (in general) as there's no guarantee any of the costume or props have actually been used in the movie. The actors will also potentially look very different, whether it be age, or simply styling and make-up. In the case of that Luke photo it's pretty clear the promo image was shot sometime in 1977, quite likely after his accident. I'm sure HT is off on so many things, IMO, they're really weak when it comes to details, but at the very least use grabs from the actual movie for reference.

The pose in that photo is also all kinds of wrong from a posture and grip perspective, I'm surprised the photographer didn't toss it. ;)

The anime styled hair on the figure is a head scratcher, honestly. :lol

When did Hamill's hair flick up sharply at the sides like that in the film? :monkey1

That promo pic was definitely after the accident. The plastic surgery really altered his face.

That whole set of promos is highly inaccurate. Ford has short hair in all of them and Fisher looks skinnier.
