It seems like Hot Toys is somehow trying to incorporate all the various shapes and deformations of the original puppet's head throughout his scenes in the film - does that make any sense to anyone? - that could be why the weird (fat) shape of Yoda's head.

I agree. I think they tried to split the difference between his normal look and his puffed out cheek look. Usually when his cheeks are puffed out he's worried or disappointed or whatever. But the HT sculpt doesn't reflect much if any emotion so it doesn't quite match up. Still looks good though overall.

Well, I ordered.

It's a pity that HT don't offer alternative head in the same way Big Chief Studios do. I'd like a smirking/cocky looking Han

They did a sculpt of smirking Han didn't they? They just haven't released it yet. He was in the 1/6 Falcon they showed last year. Does anyone have the photos saved for Matner?

That Han sculpt isn't great, but it's not the worst thing in the world either. I'd take even that with the Stormie Han over an identical sculpt like the Luke one was (basically).

I wonder when we'll finally get an announcement for the Storm Trooper Han to go with Luke. Maybe it'll be one of the convention exclusives this year.

Something about the open eye headsculpt doesn't sit right with me, just like with Luke, Han, Chewie and Obi Wan (really amazed by sculpting work on Leia). The eyes shut headsculpt looks better, but I feel like Kotobukiya might have sculpted one of, if not the finest Yoda headsculpt yet. I took some pictures of him at Celebration Anaheim.

Honorable mentions to Kenner's 3 3/4" and 12" figures from 95-99. Those are IMO all pretty incredible.

Even that Kotobukiya comes with a snake! Missed opportunity HT!

the paint up and accessories are perfect (clothing first).

If only the sculpt were better.... I would pay the 200 bucks, no doubt, but I am sticking to my SSC, for the moment!

I don't get the green noodle hair. Sculpt looks good but I think the HT is better.

Yeah, that SSC Yoda mentor was a great deal at $75 (and example of the great prices/value SSC used to have,) and I sold my ex for about $250.
