There we go. My favorite armor and from the final battle too. Will be my first IM purchase.

The new pictures make it look slightly better. I don't really dig all the scuffing on the chest area and wish they went more for a clean look like the Mk7. However, I really like how it looks in this shot

A nice coat of finish would've been nice too to make it more shiny, but it may just be the proto pics that don't do it justice. I'm not too keen on how the figure looks from the back. The Mk43 and Mk7 have really well defined back plates on the upper trapezius area and the Mk45 just doesn't seem that way.

It'll be interesting to see how this looks displayed at secret base and conventions. Hopefully Budget Stark comes through for us today ha

But the Mark VII was shown without a helmet. :)

Now I think about it we did see it briefly when they confronted Loki right at the end... my bad!

Still it couldn't have hurt too much to throw a modified IM3 sculpt in which would fit onto the neck post but that is not the figure we are being offered, right now I am more concerned thinking what the bottom of the feet and the lasers look like without the effects parts.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS300D11 - Avengers: AoU - Iron Man Mark 45

I am on the fence with this one. I am getting the 43 Special Edition. I will need to think if I want this one or the Bleeding Edge from Civil War.

There likely planning on releasing a Tony Stark from AOU, that's why no Stark head with this, that's my guess anyway.

I'm surprised they chose this to be the MMS300 figure and not something more iconic.. This is just another release. Highly anticipated? Yes, but nothing special since it was inevitable this would be made... No surprise there. The MMS300 figure should have been something unexpected since they were making such a big deal over it. Instead it seems more of a pat on their own backs that they've made 300 figures. As for the figure, it looks ok but many features/likenesses are off from the on screen armor. And since it is die-cast I'm surprised the paint doesn't have any "metallic" look to it based on the photos so far. I like it but not as much as I thought I would. I just don't seem to get as excited for these as much anymore.. :dunno Maybe it's the price points they keep hitting.... :(

Re: Hot Toys - MMS300D11 - Avengers: AoU - Iron Man Mark 45

It does look awesome and I wonder what the price will be but the color is completely wrong. That's what's throwing it off for me it's the same as the 43 when it should be a darker red. If the price is reasonable I actually will get this. It does look so sweet even if the suit wasn't used to it's full potential like the 43. The Sentry on this one is way better and prefer the base here too. I also dig the fire and laser effects!

I can't believe how quickly they responded to the color complaints, I guess the final photoshopped promo pics weren't ready for the reveal. :lol

Diecast? Well shoot... wonder what the price will be now? Where is the Tony Head?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS300D11 - Avengers: AoU - Iron Man Mark 45

So what is the stand that is meant to be supporting this figure in that flight pose? As this is diecast, will a normal dynamic stand be able to hold that weight?

It's all well and good to take photos of the poses, but it doesn't even look like it comes with a stand, so how is that pose even obtainable?
