Oh no I totally agree with you, I love when artists are allowed freedom inside licensing high end collectibles but Disney is overly protective.
 
i'd love to see one of those Sideshow scale charts comparing this statue with the upcoming 1:4 scale maquette. Talk about being off the charts.

I'm in the US (east coast.) I got mine for $1800 total shipped from Switzerland. That was in 2005, before prices went NUTS.

all things considered, that's a pretty good price for the amount of collectible you are getting. The only thing i'd be affraid of it's going to OVERPOWER the room it's in, unless displayed in a museum, garage or warehouse-type space. This piece goes far beyond being a personal collectible, this is more tourist attraction. You put this on your front lawn for HALLOWEEN you instantly have the COOLEST house in the county and it wouldn't be outta line to charge for pictures because it's THAT cool. There aren't too many collectible that can top a 1:1 HULK, maybe a 1:1 T-Rex, King Kong, Godzilla, and a 1:1 Queen Alien FU Guilty Gear :wink1:

i cant wait to put HULK next to the Queen Alien, hopefully it would be complete done by next summer.

Ha, my Wife, shes not surprise im getting the HULK, since there is a 1/1 Queen laying in my living room.

Congrats on the purchase! I cannot even begin to imagine what would be like to have something this size in my home. In fact, I was wondering, where are you going to display it?

I see you live in Mississauga. Depending of where you put this statue, I may be able to spot your house from the road. :lol
