    Medicom Kaneda and bike

sheep leather was exactly what she used. I thought about sanding the under side of the leather, but that may make it even more fragile than the original from medicom and get uneven thickness all over... also, there is the line with which you sew... have to be a much thinner one. We'll see if we...

Not quite the facebook custom one, but I'm proud of my old lady : )

I think the same way. Though I'm a bit afraid of messing up the jacket when glueing the pill. My kaneda stays sited on the bike, so the pill doesn't show that much. I still have to find a material to create the pill and not make it too thick with the jacket.

My mother has a seweing hobby, but not quite at that scale. That is actual leather, so a bit more difficult to work with on smaller models. She intends to retry it if she can find a better /thinner cloth. Maybe even copy the Facebook custom one.

What do you guys think? There is room for improvement. Have to find a thinner fabric. Soon I'll post the complete posed figure and bike.

Wow!!! That looks so much better than the original! Unfortunately I can't find the tailor's shop or website anywhere

Indeed it is even a stiffer rubber or plastic than an actual tire. I'm, too, afraid of messing it up some product besides water. When I clean my figures every year I use a humid cloth over the tires to remove dust and give it a bit of moisture (once or twice a year may not be enough, though)...

    Medicom Kaneda and bike

Yep.. unfortunately.... If I remember right I have a post in this exact thread worrying about the fake leather from other Medicom figures. What about the bike itself? Those rubber tires are pretty thick, and I can only imagine they can get too dry and crack in the future. How should we maintain...

My kaneda still in very good shape. He's not a very detaild figure/face, so there is not much to look for. He comes withe many hands and 2 heads, which i think is very cool. I'm only affraid that the fake leather will ruin itself in the future, but it's been 3 yares and no problem untill now.

    Medicom Kaneda and bike

I've inspected it with a lantern, and it seems that there is no "locking" position, the kickstand stays deployed only using the pressure of the rail its mounted on. Of course the bike's weight would make the rail loose over time. Proof of that is that the non deployed position is really tight...

indeed no locking : ( sad...

    Medicom Kaneda and bike

Before it used to be very stiff and hard to put it in place, but it seems that with time and the bike's weight it ended up loose. It still very stiff to put it in the "ride" position, but i'll try what you said. There is a small "step" on the kickstand that should hold the bike, but that isn't...

    Medicom Kaneda and bike

Hey guys! The kickstand (the thingy that supports the bike when it's stopped) got loose over time, and it doesn't hold the bikes weight anymore. Does anyone have a sollution for that?

    Medicom Kaneda and bike

nope... it doesnt. Asked the same thing some time ago : p The mechanism is simple. Ther is a screw attatched to the light with a piece that is possible to extend easyly to make the light turn a litle bit more. Someday in the future i may customize that.

    Medicom Kaneda and bike

I can see we have a very restricted club ; ) The thread evolves very slowly. So.. today i was taking a look at my bike and something came to my attention. What abbout that back wheel spring? The bike is prety heavy.. my concern is that it eveltualy gets loose.. So I´ve placed the bike on that...
