Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

According to the audio drama released in 1983 called Rebel Mission to Order Mandell it was a Narithan named Foldrus. Not sure if the spelling is correct or if that story is even considered cannon.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

This is not entirely true. It was never mentioned in the film BUT his name was most certainly revealed to be Palpatine WAY before the Prequel Trilogy. The Return of the Jedi Novelization printed and released in May of 1983, in tandem with the film, explicitly mentions Emperor Palpatine by this...

    The Orville (FOX TV Series)

M*A*S*H is similar as well. Started as a comedy with bits of drama but evolved into more of a dramatic show that sprinkled in laughs. The Orville uses this same kind of model in it's storytelling. Show business has been using the term "dramedy" for ages. This show is a sci-fi dramedy. The...

Disney Purchasing FOX. Bryan Singer Swims Alone.

Re: FOX Sees The Light & Starts Talks With Disney... Two simple reasons. You can avoid the long ticket lines and you can reserve your exact seats in the auditorium. I did this for The Force Awakens and Rogue One. No line and no worries about finding seats I like. It's all taken care of in advance.

Star Wars: Episode IX - THE RISE OF SKYWALKER

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019 https://www.inverse.com/article/37534-star-wars-episode-ix-9-last-jedi-jj-abrams-story-spoilers-prequels Abrams will unite all three Star Wars trilogies in episode 9! I for one am very pleased.

    The Orville (FOX TV Series)

Episode 3 was fueled by a dramatic tone and subject matter...the jokes felt a little out of place this time. This episode felt like it would have been right at home as a Star Trek the Next Generation storyline which is not a bad thing. I will keep watching

    The Orville (FOX TV Series)

The Star Trek veterans involved with the show certainly elevate this series to the quality it is and can only help it grow even better. Robert Duncan McNeil (as mentioned above) directed this one, Brannon Braga directs the next one and Jonathan Frakes directs the fifth episode coming up. Each...

    The Orville (FOX TV Series)

2nd episode was another good one. I like the fact that you can be laughing at something funny and then all of the sudden be blindsided with a suspensful, dramatic moment. Critics say the show doesn't know what it wants to be - well the writers sure know! It is not a new concept by any means, be...

    The Orville (FOX TV Series)

I was hooked within the first few minutes. I had a good feeling while watching this - one that I have not felt in a new show in a very long time. It was funny and it was action packed and it had good drama too. Those are the ingredients of all great action comedy movies (Lethal Weapon movies...

    Sculpting medium

Hi. I have used a plain old hair dryer and gotten great results. It takes a while and won't bake the clay all the way through but will cure the clay quite hard enough and deep enough to be able to mold it without any issues. Sculpey Firm is what I like. Costs a little more than Super Sculpey but...

Any pointers on how I can improve?

The one thing I see missing from each of your paint ups is eye lashes. Men have them too. All you need is a very thin application of dark paint partially on top/below the eyes to help suggest the presence of the lashes. Nice progression of quality is evident in your skills so far. Keep going!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Today seemed like the perfect day for the trailer to drop, to entice sales of merchandise if nothing else. What on Earth are they waiting for? This is Star Wars for Peet's sake. Why would they be holding back?

What MOVIE'S Do you want REBOOTED or REDONE or SEQUEL???

With no dis-respect intended to John Carpenter, I think that "Christine" could be remade today into a much better film if it stayed truer to the book. The original film strayed too far away from the story and events that occurred in King's novel.

    Star Trek: Discovery

Re: New Star Trek TV Series in 2017! Too bad but that is the truth of it isn't it? Didn't Netflix already fund the entire production cost of the new show? Every dime they make will be profit anyway so they have nothing to lose by airing on TV. Every Star Trek fan would have already watched or...

    Star Trek: Discovery

Re: New Star Trek TV Series in 2017! Just saw the trailer for the new show The Orville...looks good and funny and all but I wonder why there was more faith in this brand new show succeeding on a network than a show like Star Trek and it's 50 year track record of success. I still don't buy CBS...

    Universal's Dark Universe (Monster Universe)

I Agree 100% with ApeManRyan. My guess is, this is the shared opinion of some of the members on this forum who are younger and not very familiar with the original films (not the original novels) the new films are going to be based on. I was quite young in the 1970s and watched these on Saturday...

    Star Trek: Discovery

Re: New Star Trek TV Series in 2017! To me this looks like it will be good. However it doesn't look like it will transition too smoothly into the 1966 Star Trek but does feel like a progression from the show Enterprise was. Watching the camera movements and lens flares certainly makes this look...
