Now it's getting fun.

I used to be convinced there was no backing board until i saw the photo with Sy. Now I'm not sure. Since the side profile of the one in jabbas palace doesn't match the anatomy of the tauntaun in esb I'm guessing the set designer just pulled one of the Tauntaun heads out the archive and stuck it...

Filled in the neck seam and sculpted the eyes shut. brushed some elmers glue on the clothes they'll be sturdy for molding later. Cut off the arms at the elbow and starting to fill the frame with clay.

Putty and sanding the frame until the wood grain is gone. Putty and sand, putty and sand, putty and sand.

Good News, I went up to my attic I dug out my old 12 inch figure box and a found a pair of pants that has the same stitch patten as the vintage Han pants, so I won't be destroying the original pants. I'm happy with the carbonite block frame, I made it a little larger so it goes with the boba...

Just got mine. I'm surprised by the soft rubbery suit. I never had a figure like this before. Is there anything that should or shouldn't be done to keep it from cracking or tearing with age? Obviously I won't keep it in a extreme pose that puts stress on it or creases it. Also keeping it away...

Just to be clear I'm not fighting or arguing, just discussing. I'm a big Jabba's Palace fan and I can't say 100% there isn't a little backing board on top but I don't see any proof that there is one. I don't think the taxidermy Tauntaun head was a prop built for ROTJ. I think it was just the ESB...

I've seen lots of photos and never seen a backing board. I'm guessing based on how odd the neck looks they just took the animatronic head from ESB and stuck it on a shelf hook.

There was no backing/mounting board on the Tauntaun in jabba's palace. I'm very interested in what the head on the right of Han in carb. was. There are no clear pictures of it. Lucasfilm says it's a Jerba but it's way to small to be Jerba heads used in ANH. If it was a original creature there...

WOW! That's really great. Are these going to be made available? I got a feeling I'm going to be a old man before Amok time releases anything. I got to get back o work on my Killer Klown room sometime.
