    Weta Minas Tirith Environment

The details in this environment is mind-boggling! Definitely a must-get! Good thing this is open edition; gives you enough time to save up for it and a big advantage for those who don't have expendable cash myself included. Also, will wait for in-hand photos in case the first run will have major...

Premium Format New Sideshow Spider-Man (Comic) PF

I would love to have this Spidey in my collection. I've been saving up my SS points for this.

    Statue Weta Workshop Mini-Smaug Statue

Great pics Josh. This is quite detailed for its scale. Very impressive. I will have get this at some point. Hopefully with a discount. :wink1:

Any guesses for Weta's next LOTR piece?

One of the highest placers in the polls over at the (defunct?) S&F Forum was Eomer on Steed, I believe? Faramir was also up there in the list. And we know that Weta does listen. So Eomer on Steed could be near.

    RIP Andrew Lesnie

That is a sad news. :( Such a loss for the film industry. May he rest in peace.

    WETA forums problem

That's what I was thinking too! The affiliate link is meant to support the forum monetarily, but if it's gone kaput, the affiliate link is useless. If Weta is really keen to have its own forum site, they should just do a new one. I'm pretty sure they won't have problems getting their old...

    Ori and Dori spotted!

Was there a woman Rohirrim rider (apart from Eowyn?). That maquette rider has boobs! :lol

    WETA forums problem

The owner of this site, Charles Song (I believe?), is he a fan of Weta/Middle Earth and was he ever active in the forum? I haven't been a member of that forum that long, just 3 years I think, but during all that time, I've never seen him there. So I don't know, maybe his interest has waned...

Thanks BigBunny! I'm sure yours is in the country already. It should be with you very soon. You'll really like it. :)

Thanks bill59! Yeah, it is indeed a nice environment piece. I love it! :)

    Ori and Dori spotted!

Today, Weta Workshop shared on their Facebook page their current work "Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War" currently on exhibit at the Te Papa Museum of New Zealand in Wellington. The photos of the larger than life figures also showed in the background the last two dwarves that have not yet been...

Statue Weta Workshop's Beorn's House Environment

Got my The House of Beorn environment today. :yess: I'm impressed by this environment in general. Very detailed and paint application (though it's not complicated for this environment) was above average. This environment is a combination of polystone and plastic (for good reasons). The tall...

Statue Weta Workshop Smaug the Terrible Statue

I think the delay in shipping of those who are in the second batch could probably be due to Weta fulfilling replacement requests for Balrogs of those who were in the first batch. If you are far down in the 2nd batch queue, you'd expect delays as you've been bumped down further by first batch...

    Green Dragon Environment

I like this one, although I kinda hoped the environment had covered more than just one section of the Green Dragon. Yes, it would be big had they done that. Or they could release this environment in 3 sections where you could put them together to make the full Green Dragon. It gives an option to...

    Show your LOTR shelves

I second that!:lecture But in fairness to Weta's Hobbit line, the statues are one of the best sculpts I've ever seen. Thanks to the new sculpting technology. That's primarily why I find it so hard to resist them! :lol

Statue Weta Workshop's Beorn's House Environment

I think Weta's system determines which warehouse your order will be coming from depending on your delivery address. Unless if the item is already sold out at the warehouse you're closest to, then Weta chooses the next warehouse where it's available. You just may have to pay extra for the postage...
