Was curious to know how are you displaying both of these statues?
Don't have them on display right now. All my Resident Evil stuff is currently in storage until I finish renovating my bedroom.

I probably won't display the Leon statue. I have the damtoys figure for my RE2 display wich will have a repainted head sculpt once it's finished. Also plan to get Ada and Claire repainted at some point.

Lack of space is my biggest issue so the boxes will probably stay in storage.

If you get a second detolf you could display one statue on one shelf with the box behind it and the other one right next to it in your second detolf.

Are you repainting them yourself? If not, whom are you commissioning?

I'm thinking of getting a couple of the Damtoys Shotguns for the 1/6 statues but before I do that. If you don't mind me asking, Do the slings unclip from W-870 with Stock and W-870 Long Barrel?

Also, do you think it will or won't wear away the paint or plastic if they're holstered to their backs?

Have a good one.

I'll have all of them repainted by 357partment.

About the shotguns, yeah you can remove the slings on both of them, no problem. I don't think they would leave any scratches on the statues. Just attach with a bit of caution and you should be good.

welp, this is the worst 1/6 purchase ive ever made, this set is pure garbage. didn't even get the jacket on all the way before the pleather started flaking.

Is this a common issue? Should I attempt to get a replacement or just get my money back?

What set is that? I can’t remember the name of it. Certainly not the UBToys clothing set that came on the full figure before the DamToys version came out?

Honesty, I wouldn't even bother.
This is an old set already, and my guess is the pleather is probably dried out on all of them already.
Not much a seller can do about it.

This. Its been in a humid storage facility for over 5 years in tight packaging. Perfect condition for pleather to rot. Especially cheap third party pleather.

I dont know if there’s any truth to it. But I read somewhere that keeping pleather parts in the box speeds up deterioration. So its best to get it out of packaging immediately and have it displayed so it can breathe. Ive also heard moldy pleather can spread to other figures in your cabinet so be careful.

Again, these are just some statements I once read on Facebook groups. Dont know if there’s any truth to em. Maybe someone who knows more abt it can enlighten us.

Guess I didn’t realize how long the set has been out. Seller offered me a $20 refund which I’ll happily take, not sellers fault and I don’t wanna screw them over.

you can repaint them with angelus (they have many shades of red though...) after you removed all the pleather. maybe try fire red then get abit of brown so you can mix them if it is too bright.

Thanks for the tips but unfortunately I dont care to do all of that. The graphic on the back wont be present, and the jacket isnt really accurate enough for me to bother with it anymore than I already have.

I've decided to just go all out with the custom route and get this one, its the best jacket that ive seen thus far and seems to tick every box. Artist quoted me "2xx" for price, which I'm not thrilled about but its par for the course. Ill be happy.
