Mine has 05/22 on it. But I was in a later batch so I thought everyone has 05/22

I thought so. Everyone has 8/23.

It confused me to. But apparently that is the date that InArt Gandalf went live PO, rather than the actual ''creation'' date.
are you sure? Cause on the ticket they give you it has a date of 5/22.

8/23 might have been the last batch that went out before the Chinese new year. I got mine in January.

Also Gandalf was supposed to release q2 2023. 5/22 might have been went you could preorder

That guy is the first I've heard of a 5/22 date on the card. Certainly that figure wasn't made on the PO day. If so, what's it been doing for 2 years?

Is it the right card? The one that looks like a movie ticket has a 5/22 date which I assume is the PO date. There’s another card that has 8/23 and what I assume the artists name? It’s in Chinese.

Well, one date -- 5/22 -- is the PO date.

The other date -- 8/23 -- is apparently when the actual production figure was revealed.

In any event, just step back and look at the bigger picture. Someone asked if there's a date that shows when "his" figure was made. No one's individual figure date -- meaning the date that particular figure was made -- is listed on any card. Only the two dates above. Is that not correct?

You’re on to something. Just rewatched some unboxing and they have 8/23 as well. Might not be any way to know. If we could read Chinese we could translate that card cause I’m curious

I'd almost forgotten I have this on preorder. I'm sure I'll appreciate the figure once I get it but my preorder was June 19, 2023. I doubt I'll see it this year, honestly. Definitely looking forward to replacing my Asmus fellowship with InArt's versions over the coming years. But for now it's so out of sight out of mind that I've kind of stopped feeling any enthusiasm about it.

Exact date I ordered mine. Ugh.

June 18th here...

I'm hoping the next batch kit gets will finish the January orders and start tapping into the June orders (or was there another opening in between?).

It sucks we have to wait this long, but I'm just grateful I was able to pre-order one at the original price at all. When this first went up in 2022 I was not in a financial position where I wanted to allow myself an expense like this, but by 2023 things were back to normal so I could jump on this.

I wonder if this will be InArt's standard roll-out going forward, or if Gandalf was more difficult because of the dual hairing process (beard and hair)?

I suppose we'll see with rooted The Batman.

Not only the long wait. I am really worried about the quality of later batches...

There’s already lots of variance between the batches. People who ordered January 2023 have now just been receiving theirs in the last week and the hair and beard are significantly more thick vs early batches. I do think their QAQC isn’t honed in, and they suffer from lower QC with later batches. It’s like they get tired of working on it and are ready to move on to the next character figure. Or perhaps their C team is working on it vs the earlier ones, who knows.

Yes. That is exactly what I meant...

I'm not usually the concerned type but seeing the latest batch, I personally don't like how the hair came out  I'm in the next batch though but I doubt it will be any different however I love to futz my figures for hours just to be perfect in my eyes so I guess I can make it look better but it's concerning to say the least. :(

I also saw on facebook a poor gandalf with a mid part so goofy and poofy looking I just rapidly scrolled over the post. If anyone futzed and styled the latest batch and can share some pictures, I would really appreciate it!
