No they didn’t. I know they sometimes get certain exclusives, but I can’t recall them getting these super limited kinds of exclusives where we know the specific number being made.
I agree. We’ll probably have to wait until this comes out for any chance at another one in the future. Hopefully that one will at least have a sculpted hair option too so there would still be a chance to get the new headsculptThis one still hurts. What a cluster that SS preorder was...
He will be the one big empty spot in my Hot Toys Star Wars collection.

I still think that ROTJ Han was going to be next and they couldn't get the hair correct. I think they'd have a similar challenge with Kenobi. I have a hard time envisioning them pulling off a short haircut that doesn't look like a doll. I think that's why we've seen Ledger Joker and Anakin thus far.

anyone know if the anakin artisan size of figure would go well with the previous ROTS Obi wan or is the size comparison completely off as often are hot toys' old and new figures? Wanted to try posing them together once he's released

I assume it’ll display well with Obi. Until another Obi is released. Should be fine. I plan on it too.
It’s more than likely the same height as the previous original MMS given that it’s basically a reissue of that except the new headsculpt, LED lightsaber and display stand. So, it should display fine with ROTS Obiwan

Any new photos anywhere? Was curious if it has been displayed at a show or convention recently.
Probably won’t see any potential new photos until maybe May the 4th if that. Not to mention, the last “new” photos we got were of a terribly futzed figure that had probably been hopping around from on convention to another which is why the hair got worse with each new convention it was shown at. Would probably be best if we don’t see any new photos until it’s been released

There is 100% a Ahsoka and/or dark side version of the new sculpt coming. Will it be rooted is the question, to me I don't really care.
If they made the pleather leather like they just did for Artisan Jack Sparrow I'll likely get interested.

I was just thinking about this. Given that HT is slowly getting more into using real leather, it would be great if the next Anakin had leather boots, tabards and belt just like both Jack Sparrow and DoD Indy have. And considering Indy isn't a DX, that means an Ahsoka Anakin wouldn't need to be either to get those treatments. Though, HT would probably want to charge the most so making it a "DX" would give them that as ppl would most likely buy it regardless

To be fair, good quality pleather will last as long as real leather within certain environment limits and probably scale better for 1:6, but as there are many examples of Hot Toys have not been using good quality pleather, and if they changed it up lately they're quiet about it.
However leather just removes any worries, there is nice soft leathers available like top grain goat or even deer that can easily be worked into great 1:6 outfits.

True, but based on my experience, HT pleather has gotten worse, not better.
To use Jack Sparrow as an example, the pleather they used on the original At World's End and Dead Man's Chest figures is still looking like new on the ones I have. However, the belts on my DX06 began to crack after just a few years. And as you mentioned, we have numerous other examples of HT pleather not being the good quality kind like ANH Han boots and ANH Chewie crossbody bag.
I would say DamToys Assassin's Creed figures are using some really good quality pleather as I've completely disrobed them to put it all back together and nothing has come apart in all the years I've had them.
