I also loved the movie and enjoyed the power trip. The lore of Black Adam is pretty cool and the movie delivered for me. I just wish we got to see him fight Cavill, and it irks me to no end that we would have seen it. He will be in my display fighting Superman for sure.

Also did they decide to just not include the hood at all? I know they include the accurate cape now but they just axed the hood completely in the final release? Was the cooler look for me based on all the early promotional material we saw with him in it.

Alright after giving the movie a rewatch I decided to order the standard black version. It's just a much more badass look, and the other figure isn't even accurate anyway as the gold was super bright and shiny in the movie not dull like HT made it.
Where did order?

The cloak still comes with the black version, but the gold only has the cape.

Regular/darker suit comes with the hooded cloak. Gold Armor comes with the cape. Neither come with both.

Timewalkertoys. The standard black is the only version they had left. Although I did notice Popcultcha still has the deluxe if that's what you're interested in.

How come Popcultcha pricing is so “cheap?”

Even after adding $27 shipping to the United States, it’s about the same price as Sideshow’s MSRP - much less after factoring in sales tax and shipping that SSC collects.

Does Popcultcha mark up their inventory less than SSC? Or is this due to the Australian to USD currency conversion rate? Or do we get hit with a hefty VAT/customs tax bill after it ships?

Probably because their markup isn't Sideshow Stupid.

A little bit of both most likely - meaning Popcultcha probably doesn't mark up as much as SSC as well as the currency conversion rate.
Also, kind of crazy how shipping all the way from Australia is not that much more expensive from what sideshow charges.
But no, you shouldn't get hit with customs bill as long as your order total is less than $1500 or $1600 I believe.

Yeah I think you are right!

I have used Popcultcha several times in the last two years and they are great. I have noticed that it takes a bit longer to get the figures from them (I live in NY) but when they arrive they have been very well packaged and in perfect condition as one would expect. There is also good communication regarding shipping etc.

Because of the relatively low prices I was initially wary about ordering from them because I feared that there would be some insane mark-up with shipping or some other sort of deviltry . But no the price is the price.

On that note Timewalker is a fantastic outfit to purchase from also, their pricing is competitive and their customer service is great. I have been using them quite a bit lately.

I wish that I had known about Timewalker and Popcultcha back in 2017 when I started feverishly collecting :)

Kinda want Black Adam figure
But the headsculpt expression is really putting me off, it just why the goofy expressions (Maybe I’m bias because I’m sick of seeing Dwayne played the same character in every movie)
