I'm going to receive my first Hiya Godzilla this week. It's the updated GvK version. I also ordered the 2014 figure, as well as their MUTO. Always wanted a MUTO.

I know we’re all about Godzilla -1 currently…but I’m surprised not the lack of acknowledgement with Hiya toys improvements made to their ‘re-tooled’ GvK Godzilla.

Just received mine and apologies for not providing any pics. Haven’t had the time nor chance to because I’m busy with my 2month old 😅

First off, the sculpt is WAY SHARPER than the original release. Like…night and day difference. Kind of astonishing imo. I was pretty happy and satisfied with the OG release as is…but this new version which I’ll label as 4K version makes the OG version look like dvd resolution.

Secondly, the unsightly visible joint at the jaw is gone, which was the main selling point for this re-tool.

All in all, it’s a great upgrade and worth the purchase.

I'm on a tight budget and haven't been able to acquire a HIYA Godzilla yet, but I have the updated GvK on preorder with Amazon. Their Godzilla's look incredible, the best of both NECA and SHMA figures and better than both. Every time I see a photo with one, I am super envious of how amazing they look.

Yeah, but the paint on that Hiya seems... nonexistent?

The paint is on par with SHMA other Godzilla’s IMO. Just as ‘flat’.

What is priority for me though is the sculpt. I’ve always hated how SHMA’s Monsterverse Godzilla looked, especially the head and profile. Not to mention how flimsy it felt during play. Hiya’s is way more accurate to the source and feels solid and sturdy. Also way more affordable than Bandai’s offerings.

I really love Hiya's Mothra too, really fantastic though the little claw thing to attach it to the stand is difficult to get secured. I need to get one of their Godzillas though. If they do one for GxK then I'd definitely skip the SHMA version
If Hiya does a Minus One Godzilla then that would be fantastic.

Just opened my HIYA Godzilla vs Kong Godzilla and he's amazing. The detail is incredible, articulation is superb, and the sculpt is flawless. He's got these beady little eyes, so cute. I can't imagine finding a better Godzilla figure for $50. It's quality all the way around. The paint is a little bland but I'll gladly sacrifice that over everything we do get. Can't wait to get 2014 Godzilla, and the MUTO. I'll definitely get a Minus One also. I have a feeling I'm going to go pretty deep into this line.

So I saw Gozilla Minus One (Minus Color) tonight and really liked it. Making me want a Godzilla figure.

Thing I’d I’m not the biggest fan and am unsure what a good one to get is. Preferably I don’t want to spend a ton (maybe $100 or a bit over max). Any recommendations?

If you can’t wait, the Monsterarts looks great but prices seem to be on the up. If you can wait until the Fall, Super7 has a really nice looking figure coming out and the $75 price point isn’t too shabby.
